So the migration towards the monopoly has started...
Sure, if there are willing buyers. The new commission rate doesn't start until Feb 1st. Could it be possible some domainers want to lock in the 9% commission rate/close some deals before the end of the month?
It'll be interesting to see the statistics between Jan 31st and Feb 1st..
I didn't wait until Feb, and made some changes right away in pricing. My Afternic BIN prices are slightly lower now. Will keep all my landers at Dan for the moment. The new commission rate doesn't start until Feb 1st. I am kind of in the same boat. My priced Afternic listings can stay.I didn't wait until Feb, and made some changes right away in pricing. My Afternic BIN prices are slightly lower now. Will keep all my landers at Dan for the moment.
In my opinion the Dan.com system is superior to Afternic in virtually every way.I dream about an ideal combination of all the good things that Dan.com offers, with the extensive partner network of Afternic. Just throw out that beta version of Afternic and make people really happy.
Because Escrow is not supported in poor countries. Why would people move from Bodis to Dan? Bodis has free sales landers with Escrow as backend. Dan has landers that charge 15%. Did they do it to stop the potential 25% commission from happening (but of course lose the 0% if someone types the domain into the URL bar)?

edit: i think this is related to something locally, our government does not want you to get rich, because if you get you can come into high position and wipe them out of their deeds.
Are you using the ones with ns1.sedoparking.com or sl1.sedo.com? The former are the traditional ones, can make changes under parking optimization, and the latter go to newer clean-look landers. I personally prefer the sl ones, and think they have done a good job building trust with the design. Now if only that accept cookies could be made a bit smaller for the first time visitor!I've tried Sedo landers for the first time, surprisingly the landers are not bad at all. They have 9 or 10 landing page templates to chose from. The landing page is clean and well designed.
Yep. I was perfectly happy before. Now I'm looking into all available options. I'm just not thrilled with the direction that GoDaddy seems to be heading. In my case it is pushing me to explore other options that I would not have otherwise. I am sure some others are in the same boat.
I tried twice and almost lost one of my deals.you could "bring the transaction" to @Sedo, starting at 3%
HiDan has the best customer service in my experience: Fast response times, speak with an actual person that's friendly and prompt payments and transfers (buying or selling).
HiI tried twice and almost lost one of my deals.
With one I waited days until the process started.
The other one was faster but still very slow.
On the other hand, with DAN I had over 200 lead buy transactions and the process always started within minutes and everything else was very fast.
Just a matter of time.when gobaddy realizes they have multiple customer service personnel for each entity, at some point during this "consolidation" period, somebody is going to get the boot.
