@LaszloSchenk this might of been discussed but I will bring it up .....myself and I know a large number of domainers would very much like to have an option to send a message and converse with a potential buyer once they have made an offer ....currently as a seller I can accept,decline,counter.....I feel as many others do that I should be able to converse with a client once they make an offer.
Best Regards,
Darren C

agreed, no 24/7 support, no communication at some points. it's tough. it doesn't feel normal in a transaction environment.

@brandsly thank you so much for the insight! The unregistered domain has never been registered before, according to domaintools.com and whois.com, though. Not by this seller, not by anyone. That said, I don't know if those are accurate and report expired domains accordingly. I certainly understand listing domains on multiple sites and forgetting to take them down after a sale is made.

I suppose my main gripe is that even though dan.com accepts payment, there is no guarantee whatsoever of the domain actually changing hands. As you said - ownership verification is possible and (I assume) relatively easy to implement. Definitely something I had expected from a site with such reputation and size.
Good morning @mmkr,

Thank you for notifying us.

The account remains open for a brief period of time due to the investigations we need to conduct. I am personally not involved but if you share me the details in a private message I am confident I can shine some light on the situation as I conclude the specialist helping you did not share the details in full.

@brandsly, thank you for the response given and indeed neglecting to remove a domain after losing it often is the cause of these situations. However, just to be sure I personally want to help you @mmkr in order to rule out all other possibilities.

We are aware that this aspect of the market can be improved which is why the team is still working hard on the live ownership verifications. This will be resolved shortly and more will be shared with you in the coming days.

Have a great day and stay safe and healthy.

Hey @LaszloSchenk do you think showing the domain age & maybe length for domains that meet the criteria could entice more people? Here is an example from Brandpa
Good morning @DigitalRoar,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I am not sure how large of a role it will play in enticing people but I will forward it to our product team. I agree that putting this in a description already might shine some light as to why a certain price is being charged.

Have a great day!

@DAN.COM could you please to fix the ssl error on domains with ns1.dan.com ns2.dan.com nameservers
8-8-8.net has ssl issue.
thanks
Dear,

As indicated before, the SSL certificates are generated after 48 hours of parking. Your domain's name servers got changed at 2019-04-17 19:08:47 meaning we still have a full 8-9 hours to go before the SSL certificates are generated.

Best regards,

@DAN.COM it looks like your search is broken. just tried to search and I can't find my domain in search results 😐. I have no time for checking all my portfolio.
Show attachment 148009
@BrandCollectors.com, the search is operating just fine. I have made sure to check it and your domain is presented in the results generated. However, if you recently changed any prices it very well could be that the system takes a brief hour or so to reflect that change.

Best regards,

@Darren C, the option is already available. However, you need to react to the first offer by countering it or declining it. The reason behind it, as indicated several times before, is that we already see many users communicating prices in text. Once a deal is concluded the transaction is stalled as the system did not register any offers submitted, nor any offers accepted. With the current setup this is ruled out for at least the first offer. It in turn ensures our users know how to operate our negotiation window in order to come to a deal.

Have a great day.

Hi @alcy,

It is best to make sure you have imposed the desired payout method before transferring the domain to us. Once the notification is given that the domain is transferred the payout can be submitted anywhere from 1 to a maximum of 24 hours.

Have a great weekend.

@LaszloSchenk

Buyer has been showing domains with different extensions after submitting their first offer for a particular extension. Dont you think they would deviate?

@LaszloSchenk

Does the DNS ownership verification works if only the third nameserver points to DAN? If not, could you make it so (for those who don't want to display the DAN landing but still want automatic verification)

Overall I like DAN. But there is one big problem. I found that the chat support is really slow. This is frustrating. Imagine a buyer wants to quickly buy a domain and he has a question. He may go away somewhere else because nobody replies. It looks quite unprofessional, guys. Even small and not-too-profitable sites provide fast support these days. I think this unresponsiveness really hurts, especially in this business. Since you take 9% from every sale (and there are many lucrative sales), I believe you have the ability to hire more support people.

Hi @alcy,

Thank you for our response.

It should go through as stated in the account as long as it is imposed within a reasonable time before the payout is processed.

Have a great week.

Dear @DNGear,

I am not fully sure what you are referring to. Could you PM me with the details and some example domains?

Good morning @legendarynames,

The nameserver only works with those who actively park with us. I will forward your request to have this altered to allowing the adding of the 3rd nameserver only.

Have a great week.

Good morning @GoodKindName,

Great to hear you are liking it this far. When have you experienced a delay in response? The chat support replies fast during business hours but might provide a delayed response after office hours and during thew weekend. We are looking, as stated before, for new hires in the US in order to speed up the response time with the final goal being the realisation of a live support. However, this takes time.

Have a great week.

I'm disappointed in Dan.com's position towards a sav.com push on a sale. I haven't seen any evidence of the accusation dan provided as an example of why they wouldn't complete a recent sale on a push. I'm not saying it's not true. I'm saying this seems like a petty reaction to some past issues between the two companies.

Net result to me as a seller is a canceled sale.

Perhaps dan.com should make it clear in their signup that they don't do business with sav.com and of course update that to include any other registrar you get in a fit with so users know whether your platform is viable for their portfolio.

Probably has something to do being copied.

Did you follow the Sav thread at all? Dan spent millions of dollars on design. I wouldnt accept registrars who copy design no authorization.

Your beef should be SAV, who unsurprisingly still have minimal NP presence.

Not the reason they gave me. I'm aware of the issue you mention but you serve a cease and desist and move on. That's business.

Doesnt help that Sav NP presence near-zero.
We would all love to hear from them, as well.

is there a problem with sav? i signed up there lately and regged few nsames cause of decent prices on few extensions.. should I stop doing biz there?

far as I know dan's policy is to have presence/accounts on as many registrars as possible. right @LaszloSchenk
