The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I also have a question with automated keyword system. When I use custom keywords, I can track the performance of keywords with views and earnings. In the automated mode, I guess there is no option to track keywords, or is there a way to do?

I need tracking them because what I would like to do is, starting with automated keywords, later enhance them by using custom ones. But in order to do this, I have to know performance of previously selected automated ones.

There is no way currently, but it actually has been on my to-do list.

The best you can do is use an automatic keyword that is most specific to the domain name. The system automatically rotates through individual keywords at that point and uses the best ones on the landing page.

It is probably the most effective way and I'd recommend using automatic keywords at all times. Custom keywords may work for 1 region, while our automatic keyword system may have a better decision engine based on the region of the visitor.

Use custom keywords at own risk, only when you are 100% sure that it is the keyword the visitor is looking for across all regions.

thanks Matt, I actually like automated keywords because most of my domains do well with them, but some seems to need some manual optimization.

Each month Bodis is getting better, keep up the good work.

Thanks. We have some nice little surprises just around the corner. :)

Tonight we should be launching our mobile-compliant template. This template will replace the current template on your .mobi domains. Very simple, white background, blue links, nothing-more-to-it template.

Don't get too excited. It was a spur of the moment update. ;)

After several days testing various names @ Bodis I must say that I am very impressed with what matters, and that is the bottom line.

I have tested traffic names from several countries including: Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Turkey, Italy, France, and India to name a few. RPM has either been comparable or beat past RPM on "G" feeds.

IDN support far exceeds that of almost all other parking companies as well.

The only part where Bodis is lacking is detailed stats including searches and referrer stats.

Keep up the good work Matt.

Is the "big surprise" mentioned in June getting closer?

Just wanted to give a heads up. Yesterday and today we were and currently still are having issues with one of our upstream ad providers.

Overall revenue may be a bit lower due to this. The issue should be fixed at the earliest, hopefully as early as tonight.

Please stay put. I am more frustrated than anyone else whenever something like this happens. Unfortunately, it is out of our control. We haven't had unexpected down time for months on our servers. While our upstreams that are way bigger than us seem to have down times quite frequently which really always puzzles me how a business 10-1000x larger than us can have unexpected outages like this, but unfortunately, like I said - there is not much I can do but wait a few hours until they resolve the issue.

Update: The technical issue should now be resolved. :)

Hopefully it will be stable from this point on.

Hey Matt......did Bodis go down for a spell yesterday?

I noticed my stats froze around early afternoon, and final stats show my earnings only went up about $1 above those afternoon stats.

I have that good Alcohol related domain at Bodis and it normally should have made good money last night being a holiday weekend. :)
.

Very strange.

Overall yesterday has been one of our best Fridays in almost all of 2009, so it doesn't seem like there was a problem with anything on a network level.

And also, I have looked at your stats, and it seems that the domain you are speaking of did almost as well as it did last Friday. It came close at the very least. I don't have enough statistics and knowledge to tell you if it would do better considering it is a 3-day weekend. :)

It is possible that our server that calculates stats had an outage that I am unaware of, but this would not affect earnings. The server would be automatically restarted and pick up calculating statistics from where it left off, and could explain why there was a time frame where your reporting statistics froze.

Sometimes also if there is a change in advertiser for a keyword, it may have affect on the CTR or revenue.

Overall, nothing looks wrong with yesterday. If anything I can look it over again for you if you see another drop in earnings.

Seabass,

if it's mostly US traffic the holiday weekend will have a big affect(lower traffic during holidays/vacations). my EU traffic and rev stats were normal levels @ Bodis yesterday.

Is there anyone in here that would like us to support MoneyBookers as a payment option? If anyone is interested, either members or non-members, please PM me.

We are looking to add it in within the next few weeks as it would not require a lot of work. It is currently on our list of things to do.

Woflis can you please resend or PM me? As mentioned a few posts above, I didn't take over support until 08/19, and I have replied to every email since usually within 1-2 days at the latest.

I have resent you an automatically generated new password from my administrative panel. You can also use the forgot password link located here if you do not receive it within a few minutes.

Please PM me or contact us via the Support Contact Form if you are still having problems. Support wasn't always on par with member expectations in the past, but since mid-August I have announced that I have taken over support and I have also fixed any issues with Yahoo/Hotmail users. Every email has been responded to since.

Sorry for the problems you are experiencing. I am here to get your account fixed and back on track.

Your welcome. :tu:

Just wanted to say that an update is right around the corner. The update is more than just new templates. It is a pretty big update which will include:

  • New, better, and cleaner template with 1-click support
  • Better and more sophisticated keyword targeting on landing pages, which I expect will increase CTR 10-15%
  • For sale management with inquiry system
  • New and much superior automatic image matching on templates
  • Landing pages image gallery expanded from 2500 to approximately 4000 images
  • And finally, the big surprise I've been speaking of

As a result, we are expecting to remove the following from Bodis.com management page:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Photo Management

Before I read the flaming replies, please let me explain why we are removing these 3! :)

The title/description is removed to help remove clutter from the page and help the visitors stay focused on clicking links. This will minimally help CTR and works better with our new landing page design. We already don't display the description, only the domain will be displayed for the title.

There are a few reasons we are removing photo management from Bodis.com my account page:

1. We have worked last 2 weeks on a new image matching system that will GREATLY improve the accuracy of finding the right image for your domain automatically.

2. We are introducing a system on our administrative end where we are able to review each domain name matched photo and correct it if the photo is irrelevant. Therefore, we will have someone that will regularly manually optimize all domain name images.

3. Our new system on our administrative end allows us to add categories and photos for automated matching at ANY time with a click of a button. Therefore, if we do not have a relevant category/photo in our gallery, we will go out and get a photo and add a category so that your domain names are matched perfectly.

4. We have issues with clients uploading either low quality photos which hurt the CTR, or using photos with trademarks or associated with trademarks.

5. We want our users to spend more time on managing master keywords and adding domain names, since we will be focusing on the photo matching.

I have tested the new update, and am confident this will be a turning point for Bodis.com. The new template / photo matching is a very exciting and important milestone.

I am hoping that there will be a clear increase in revenue across all domain names with this update. Keeping my fingers crossed. Will have more news soon.

Matt,

Thanks for the info. I personally like the Title, Description and Photo Management features of Bodis but if it means more rev. to ditch them then I'm all for it.

Matt i m counting on your experience for having the upgrades favor our ctr and overall revenue even though i believe title helps me to show my visitor this is r "real" website and not just a parked page.
Many of my visitors come to a domain lby typo mistake looking for something, if i put a relevant title then visitor feels more secure he reached website he wanted therefore the bounce rate is better than usual.
I m carefully looking my stats(specially for domains with international traffic, not use on parked domains) and i see that ctr is better when i have a title under my parked page.
