Looks like Paydayloans .info sold today for $24,000 through Sedo. Should be one of the biggest .info sales so far this year.

Remember this is just the tip of the iceburg we see. It is not in the big-players interests (yet) for general domainers to realise that perhaps - .info's are being bought up as it would inflate the price they have to pay for them generally.

Just my 2 cents.

Nice sale.

I happen to like .info, actually...

But, at that price, I suspect its a very specific term, for a very specific purpose, that the buyer wanted it for - rather than any general rating of .info, per se.

I actually know a guy who runs a few of these places.... He wears a watch that costs more than this name.
Not a huge .info fan (I keep my minimal alternative TLD exposure limited to .us, which I'm hoping is the right decision) but this is a massively profitable industry. No surprise at all to see the dead-on keywords most relevant to the payday loan business- in a gTLD- sell for this sort of money.

If the PayDayLoans.Com guys bought it then I would say they are probably dumb enough not to register a .Info at the time they registered .com ( thats if they were the actual registrants) Why pay $24,000 for it when they could have had it for under $10 bucks ( like I said before if they were the original registrants- and if .com was available I am sure so was .info)

I never realised .info extensions were so valuable. I guess only great names will sell like this though, you hardly ever see a top ranked .info website in Google for a competetive niche. Great sale though.
