I am going to tell you about a gigantic project going on in Abu Dhabi called Reem Island. This project is so huge 3 of the largest developers in the UAE(Tamouh, Sorouh, and Reem Investments) are building it. It is even bigger than The Pearl Qatar project that appeared in this forum last June.

- Reem Island is a combined residential, commercial and business project being built on a natural island off the coast of Abu Dhabi City and will be directly connected to Abu Dhabi City by a number of bridges. The location of Reem Island is only 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

- Reem Island will accomodate and estimated 280,000 residents. Some estimates go as high as 350,000!!

- Reem Island will contain Numerous hotels, resorts, beaches, spas, shopping malls, restaurants, medical clinics, many, many businesses, a 27 hole golf course, etc., etc.

- Just one of the business projects on Reem Island is Addax Port. By itself Addax is a massive port project which will contain 5 huge towers: an office tower and 4 other residential towers. And this is just one "small" part of Reem Island.

- Of course there will be tons of luxury condos and homes and villas, etc. to accomodate the huge number of residents of Reem Island.

- Reem Island will eventually be the "center" of Abu Dhabi which is the Richest of all the Emirates. Even richer than Dubai.

- Do a google search to get lots more info on Reem Island and here are a few sites to get you started: ReemIsland.com, AddaxPort.com, ReemInvestments.com. There are many more.

- There are still many good names left. I picked up:

ReemProperties.com

ReemIslandBlog.com receives between 10-60 visitors per day. Many are referred from google via keyword searches. I do not have a revenue making programs on there yet. More content = more visitors.

RAK is a hole, if I'm never back there it will be too soon, it's a pretty surreal experience though.

Silicon Oasis is on the road that you take to get to RAK from Dubai, so the first pic was on the way there, the last few on the way home.

LOL!! I didn't even notice that goofy Arabic Pizza Hut until I blew the pic up. Great Stuff. Also, in the final photo there is a reflection of someone in it. Is that you?!? And...WOW...that Dubai Silicon Oasis looks AMAZING!!

I Have Been Busy!

I have not posted here in awhile beacause I have been VERY BUSY with UAE related projects. I have made alot of connections in the UAE/Gulf region and am working on developing a number of my domains with partners from the Gulf. I have also been asked by a group of investors from Oman who are starting a new Arab Business Media publication called Smart Arabs to write articles for them about the UAE Mega Projects when they go live in March...of course I said yes.

In addition, I have two blogs going, both dealing with the UAE Mega Projects. One blog is being published as part of an Arab network of blogs at Albawaba. The second blog, called UAE Mega Projects, I am doing myself on the new Blogger platform. Both are getting really good traffic.

The UAE is BOOMING!! Just in the last few days Emaar announced a deal with Sega to open theme parks in the UAE, and Dreamworks announced a huge deal with Tatweer to open a gigantic theme park in Dubailand! Reem Island is doing fantastic and attracting billions and billions in investment capital!
