Best way for a newbie to navigate the forum and where to start

Hey forum, well I always do my best to follow forum rules and etiquette and have started by reading forum rules as much as I can, browsing through posts and replies see the tone and feel for the forum. I really think this is a place I would like to spend more time in..

Any other forum advice?

Also is there a must read beginner thread that highlights key points to domaining or a recommended first read or eBook.? My instincts are good and I have realized this buy having made some decent purchases and sales before with very little technical knowledge. So have made it my goal to be more thorough and do this properly so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Is it advisable to purchase a business subscription right off the bat if I plan to take this seriously or wait till I have a few more posts under my name?

I think you started well by asking right question.
My advice would be browse all threads under "Discussion Forum" and "Marketplace Forum" and observe and ask further questions. After spending enough time on these two forums you'll get the idea what domaining is all about.

Just to add a detail to the useful @namerav post, take a deep look on the "Discussion Forum" threads to better understand the world of domaining and some of its secrets and tricks, then look at "Marketplace Forum" in order to see what kind of domains are valuable and what not.

Hi Alfred,

I do not see any reason to urgely purchasing a business subscription. I do want to know first if this will be the place to hang out. And if I can confirm that and if I see business like advantages to subscribe, I will.

Business subscription gives advantages, of course, but i suggest you to know the forum and get into the domaining world before spending money in this way (even if it's not expensive at all).
