What differences in bargaining styles / norms seem to be true for various cultures?

For example, is the Western (I'm in the USA) norm. If I offer X, then I'm probably not going to go higher than 2X. This would be for domain types that don't have floor prices.

Now in my slim experience, Chinese buyers seem to have a upside ratio about half that, ie 1.5X.

    What have others experienced?

I am always surprised that in a world of Google Translate the email inquiries I get from China do not use a translating tool for English, if they can see me email they can see I am in Australia. As for bargaining, the price is the price, simple

Summary of bargaining where I live: I walked into an Apple store and asked for a Black Friday discount. The sales guy laughed.
