I paid the Name.com premium domain model $6,800
The domain was canceled and the amount was refunded to my wallet. When I requested to transfer the balance back to my bank, the request was rejected
I do not understand of domains, so if someone can buy the entire my account at an agreed-upon discount, I have no objection.

You need to force the matter with Name.com as they're obviously holding your money hostage and forcing you to spend it there.

If they could not fulfill your order, then they need to refund you to the original source.

Yeah, that is nonsense.

A company can't just sell things, not deliver, and keep thousands of dollars.

That's essentially just selling you a gift card you didn't want, at full value.

It would create a nice loophole for a business to abuse by taking orders, generating revenue, and not actually delivering the goods.

I don't know about the exact details on this, but I can tell you banks and credit card issuers rarely care about some companies "policy", especially if they deem it unfair or unreasonable.

There might be more to the story here, but a "policy" only takes you so far when it comes to 3rd party payment methods.

This is replay when i asked to refund to my cradite card
...........

Hello, Sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused.

Unfortunately, we're unable to offer refunds on account credit as laid out here in the registration agreement section 7.B

We apologize for any inconvenience this presents. Please note that you'll be able to use this account credit going forward with no expiration date. Let us know if you have any additional questions and we will be happy to help!

Kind Regards,

No policy can supersede local laws and bank/CC regulations, and in most countries not providing refunds for services or products that were not rendered is illegal. Otherwise, everyone would "pull an Epik" and scam customers day and night, which only works in the 'real world' if plan to shut down operations.

And if Name.com is going to force customers into legal action in order to get a refund, then maybe no one should spend any money there.

yea obviously there is some comm issues here... for sure if paid with cc then he can dispute ... paypal and bank not so much... but I meant he cant directly request or force them to refund If TOS says refunds as credit only. like u say 9 out of 10 times when people post this stuff especially new members the story alsays goes deeper.

There is no deeper story nor any events. A domain was purchased and was not registered in my account for more than 25 days. After that, the amount was refunded to the wallet. I requested a refund of the amount to the credit card, and this was the response.

The key here is that the customer order was never fulfilled, which is a clear refund back to source.

I think Name.com is playing games and fudging it into a "customer refund" whereby the customer wanted to return the order, which has a lot more gray area.

The OP needs to contact Name.com and let them know that since the order was never fulfilled in the first place, a full refund is required, otherwise the OP will contact his credit card company and financial institution to initiate a forced refund (which incidentally will harm Name.com's financial profile).

If they get sticky, Name.com will lose the CC dispute as they clearly did not supply the product. And they know this, so unless you talk to a nitwit or 'bot then your refund should be forthcoming.

DM me more details if you want.

I would like to see the full story.

Hi

the way it reads @ name, if you added money to your account to purchase a premium domain, then they won't refund in cash

seems like the loophole is in whether you pre-load an account with funds or pay at checkout without pre loading first.

it pays, to Read TOS before using any platform, but that's one i wouldn't use.

imo....

Dynadot has the same policy. Prepay is back into your account but if you purchase at checkout they refund your money, but you have to ask.
