Hello All, I figured this is the best place to ask these questions...
I applied for a job recently and they werent completely clear on what knowledge/skills they required. In doing so I applied fo the job, it sounds like a good job, especially since I was laid off last week and need a new gig.
The job in question is a help desk/IT tech for a bank..
Anyway, I get an email today from their HR department regarding a few questions they have for all candidates because I guess alot of people, im sure myself included to some point stated that they were interested in a career(This particular job is a 7 month temp assigment) and also wanted a programming or web dev job (I do for a carerr, but ill take this job). The last question pertained to Novell NetWare & GroupWise. They asked if I was familiar with it, im not...Now before I let that get to me and I just say "ah screw it" to this job, id like to hear if anyone here is familiar with both of these platforms and what the learning curve is like? I looked info about them on Wikipedia since I didnt even know what they were before hand. I would like to think im a fast learner, but really, how complicated are these, one is an OS while the other is a Mail/Event platform...
Is it worthwhile to say I have a basic understanding and learn it while they go through all of the apps or is it just too complex to get a handle on in a short period of time?
