....managing to get their names indexed by Google or MSN ???

MSN use to do it in 3 days not so long ago now it won't list them at all

None of my Sedo parked names get listed by Google now either :td:

Saying as some other parking companies seem to get indexed (like NameDrive) this makes me think Sedo Parking pages have been blocked by the search engines. (or are they just not seo friendly at all ?)

Anyone having the same problem with sedo or other PPC companies ?
whats your thoughts on this ?

(or is it just my names :'( )

same here, none of my domains are indexed. Maybe googlebot checks nameservers.

sedoparking.com is in backlist. There was a site to check if googlebot has blacklisted your domain, but i cant remember it.

The only domains that get indexed are old developed domains which are now droped and catched.

Its a difficult one, but what seems to be the case with parked domains is that they do have an indexed presence, albeit an irrelevant one because hardly any of them are far enough up the index to receive hits from the listing.

I personally think it has something to do with the nameservers. Namedrive use fastpark which seems ok. However, if you google site:namedrive.com you'll see even their homepage has been dropped. It has a fair few pages indexed again now but up to the arrival of "park and Sell" namedrive.com returned no pages. Which i find somewhat astounding being that namedrive spend good dollars on adwords and are a premium AFD partner.

Yeah, I realise that they won't do well in the ranking but I have a feeling within the last 4 or 5 months that MSN & Google have chose to block parking pages, as you say, by blocking/blacklisting the nameservers.

If a few more members could take a little time to check some of their names then we would know for sure if it has happened.
(if you do can you also list the parking company)

How do the 1plus.net/imodo ones do getting indexed Badger ?

Thanks

Use 1plus blog parking. It creats keywords for searches and you get indexed very quickly. ALso if you get an offer you can deal with the buyer directly and there is no cost. No looong waits for sales like sedo.

Names parked at Sedo have negative page rankings by google. if you check a name at sedo and click on analyze this domain. The google pr is negative unless you have a name that formerly had pr. Sedo parking will drive it into the ground!

How do you mean - negative ? as in -1/10 PR or just 0/10

I have previously had new reg'd names eventually get a PR 1/10 at sedo and I also have a PR 3/10 that has remained like that for over a year.

It appears to be this may no longer happen if the search engines block parking pages altogether :'( which I think they have done so with sedo's.

bummer !
