NAMEDRIVE! I know there have been a ton of these parking threads, but I just did the math and I am making 900% more at NAMEDRIVE over sedo.

I mean, some of my CLICKS are paying me more than sedo did in an entire month...So, other newbies take note, move your stuff to namedrive or just away from sedo...Sedo sucks for parking.

I agree with your results and that you should park at ND but still list at Sedo. I only have a couple of domains parked at Sedo--mainly ones that get a lot of visitors to the listing (not the actual landing page).

Why keep them parked at Sedo only for the visitors? If you make 900% more at NameDrive, why wouldn't you park them there? I mean.. it's 900% we're talkin here lol

When people go to the listing, I want them to know that there is traffic to the domain. The fact I may get a $x,xxx sale out of it is worth forgoing a few cents. (the domains don't get a whole lot of clicks as it is)

The math....

(~$22 by 6 months) / (~$69 by 2 months) = goodbye sedo, hello namedrive...and since my names suck for the most part and nobody is offering, I can boycott sedo for being a part of the 1and1.com family too...It's a double your pleasure kindof a day :)

I'm with Fonzie. If you have high traffic/revenue names then NameDrive is definitely better. The payout is considerably higher depending on the keyword used especially poker, insurance, finance product, loan names (though I do have some names at ND earning .03 / click). The bid on some of these terms is over $10 per OVT - so how can Sedo skimp so badly? Methinks there's a socialist regime in power over there pooling the revenue and redistributing it to the masses.
:|

For sales though, I must say Sedo is pretty good with their customer service. One of the most recent names I bought there had a problem with the name not changing from the previous owner on the admin contact when it transferred to me. Tom Fell actually called me to tell me about it. He was also very responsive to emails about the transfer. This was for a $xx name! I was impressed - usually you get lost in the shuffle on small deals like that.

I haven't had nearly the click rates with ND that you guys have. I've had lots of views, but a low click rate. The ppc has been about like Sedo's. I guess I'll try again with a few hundred more names (with better keywords) for a month or two.

I got next to nothing from sedo for my names over a month, switched to namedrive, got similar increase (800%ish) in PPC revenue, been offered sales through namedrive themselves. I still list the names for sale at sedo just as it adds a few more visitors and obviousley can't hurt.

Just btw, I have heard certain keywords (such as poker) actually do better at fabulous, but I've never used them myself.

Interestingly, I was just contacted for the second time via my ND listing from a prospective buyer. Still negotiating... ND 2, Sedo 0 for this year. It's nice to be able to actually have the email address of the prospective buyer so you can communicate with them like humans. Additionally, it's great that you don't have to pay any commission.

Similar experience and numbers here. I'm in the process of changing over all my names to Namedrive.

It doesn't take a whole lot for a domain to break even for the year and with the stats at Namedrive I now believe in many more of my names.

Amen to that, sedo and tdnam aren't very good at doing the negotiating for you, would rather have direct contact. Neither have ever secured a concrete sale for me, and I've had the 'congratulations your domain has sold' email enough times.

I know what you mean. I had my names on NameDrive for 3 months. Had decent clicks. I currently have a domain on Sedo 97 clicks a day, and I have $0.00 revenue...wtf?

I should've listened to Fonzie and kept them at NameDrive.com. Putting in the time for all my keywords suck though.

My question is however, wouldn't Sedo retaliate by listing your domain lower in search results. I recall a poster here stating that a while back. Im not two upset though. I just sold a domain there last week for $225 (after Sedo's cut). Ive getting steady sales there, about 2 per month.

I have not heard that nor seen any proof of that. Sedo has so many domains listed, I would be surprised if they systematically discriminated against you if you don't park with them. Not saying it couldn't happen, but I would be surprised.

I going to hit NameDrive.com back up again. I didn't know there was an offer format on NameDrive.com.

wow, how did they get the parking page up so fast?...
I literally just finished listing some on namedrive, and I just
went to it and it's up already...fast! :)

*** where do you add your minimum price?**
I can't find where to add a minimum for sale

I must really be the odd one out here :alien: - I parked about 60 names at namedrive for about 6 weeks or so to test it out.

my traffic definetly fell in comparison to sedo - just over 1000 views - 29 clicks and a grand total of $2.24  One was a typo poker click for 0.28 that would have usually earned me 2 euros at sedo :td:

Needless to say I was not impressed and moved most of them back to sedo.

The other thing I was not to happy about was 2 ignored email enquiries !

The only reason I left a handful there is because I like the idea of knowing a bit more about the person should I receive any offers.

uuumm - I feel all odd and unusual

Why such the drastic change from one user to the other. That's
the exact issue that has/had me divided on parking between the
two services. What gives. Better keywords perhaps?

Perhaps ?? - Most of mine were tourist related keyword domains where changing keywords to something else would not really be very practical IMO.

Domains like QatarHotels - Channelferry - Bicycles - DubaiiHotels - DubaiIslands - CroatianRiviera etc

I have seen numerous threads here about how peoples revenu increased dramatically so I kinda expected alot more. If you are undecided RonnieW just test 50 or so to see how they do for you :) My primary objective is for sales anyway, any PPC is just a bonus for me.
