NAMEDRIVE! I know there have been a ton of these parking threads, but I just did the math and I am making 900% more at NAMEDRIVE over sedo.

I mean, some of my CLICKS are paying me more than sedo did in an entire month...So, other newbies take note, move your stuff to namedrive or just away from sedo...Sedo sucks for parking.

I stopped parking at SEDO.com 5 min after reading this. I had 2 DOMAINS, yes, only 2 domains parked at ND about 4 days, and I received $5. I put those same domains on SEDO to park, and plus 4 more domains, over 200 unique views all together with the domains, and guess how much money I got in a month at SEDO? about $0.49 cents. GO TO ND!

These are the domains at ND now. That I just parked 1 min ago.

Hope this isn't against TOS...

Here is my general sedo stats:
8 Months:
558 Domains collectively:
7,452 Views collectively
352 Clicks collectively
$0.07 Revenue per click on the average
4.72% Click through rate on the average
$23.48 Revenue collectively

Here is my general ND stats:
2 Months:
621 Domains collectively:
13772 Views collectively
463 Clicks collectively
US$ 0.16 Revenue per click on the average
%3.36 Click through rate on the average
US$ 73.80 Revenue collectively

28% less clicks at ND, but clicks are 128% higher ea. on average. 563% more views adjusted for number of domains. :)

An important note too is that the majority of my names are newly registered by me and not expired names. I have maybe two dozen expired names total.

My highest viewed names are voip, alternative fuels, and china related names.

My highest revenue names are typos, real estate, and moving related names. Some of my highest clicks are between $3-5.00

My .be names are actually on a better trend at ND than at Sedo. Some of my .be names have achieved >$1.00 click.

I've kept the keywords pretty much the same. I may have changed a few words here and there. What I REALLY like about ND is that you get immediate feedback on what your keywords will deliver with that little magnifying glass next to the keyword box. You get to see, right away, what ads will appear and can tweak your keywords accordingly. Killer feature! Thanks Ed!

Disclaimer: I am not saying ND is right for everyone. But, right now, they are right for me. They may be right for you too. Obviously, I don't profit by people signing up with them or I'd put in a referral link and try to punk you that way. :yell:

What Smith is saying is true. Statistics have much more relevance the higher the numbers involved.

Namedrive is not the place for poker domains I think we all know tyhat.

My .be's do fine at NameDrive.

But here is something very interesting.

I have two cctld versions of a big .com site.

They both average about 300 views and 150 clicks a day.

One is parked at Sedo and one at NameDrive.

From Sunday to Thursday the .com site was down.

The cctld version at NameDrive received a 5 fold increase in traffic and clicks for these days but the cctld version at Sedo received no increase in traffic.

Very Strange.

I don't trust Sedo at all.

Just got back from the Domain Roundtable conference and was very impressed with Sedo business/people/style at the conference.

I've been with NameDrive for the last two months. Its been going well in terms of ppc, but I prefer the simplicity of Sedo's fixed price option for domain sales.

I just re-joined with Sedo on thier SedoPro option. The pages look nicer than they did before (but still not as clean as NameDrives in my opinion). I like that I can just put a price on Sedos page and people can just click and buy the domain. I have a number of domain that I'm not interested in negotiating about.

I moved a bunch of domains over a couple of days ago. I'm a little frustrated that optimization takes almost 24hrs and that they dont seem to work on the weeked - but I will have some patience and give SedoPro a chance before making any decesions.

By the way if anyone would like a refferal to SedoPro let me know I will send you an email (this would make you my affiliate). If I'm not allowed to say that here - sorry.

Peace,
Tarry G

The one thing I do know is that moving all ( or a large portion of) my domains from one parking service to another is a real pain in the arse!

I hear you, brother! I have 200 names with 1and1.com. Do you know what their panel looks like / functions like?!? It's painful...30 sec. / 1 min. PER NAME depending how poorly thier panel performs that day. You can do the math....

I found it worth it. I did do 50 name increments for the first few weeks to be sure it was what I wanted to do. I'm pretty happy now that I did it. I hope ND doesn't make me eat crow later on...Right now, they're doing well by me.

Is that your CTR or your Click Revenue?

I'd play with the keywords (obviously) to find the ones that ND pays well on. Did you use the magnifying glass to see what ads are populating on the landing page? If that doesn't work for you, move it back. It may not be a good fit at ND. BUT, you should see higher ctr and views right away. At least I did and so did many others. Keep us updated on how it goes...

[edit] HOLY CRAP! Look at your trader rating, man! Gees...I just noticed it...Is that the highest one here at NP? [/edit]

Dunno.. how would you find out? I wouldn't think so tho.. must be others with as many transactions, I'd think.

My REP points = 3962 ;)

I'll have to check the keywords.. and optimize them. Eventually.. lol (I'm a great procrastinator)
