Do you think search engines will start to block parked domains ?

I have noticed that MSN does'nt seem to list the vast majority of my parked domains anymore - Google does'nt list them all either.

Just wondering if search engines are starting to block parked domains/parking companies altogether ?

I beleive Google makes the majority of its money from PPC - Do you think they will phase out other peoples parked domains in order to get a bigger slice of the pie ?

Whats your thoughts/experience on this, anyone else notice any changes ?

For very uncompetitive niches, parked domains can still make the frontpage on Google.

It would probably be a wise move on Googles part to remove parked domains however and a step forward in improving their results.

Do you know examples of which parking company these are parked with ?

Sedo's ones don't seem to do too well with search engines from what I have seen - real hard to get them indexed at all :td:

Not sure if this is a search engine issue or just a parking page problem.

The SEs are increasingly filtering out parking pages from their results, and have been in the process of doing so for a while now

I realise that they will hardly ever rank very high in most search engines but when you say "filtering out" do you mean they actually block them from being indexed altogether ?

My domains (at least those I checked) appear in G and also in the Sedo domain detail pages that have been crawled as well. I doubt the parked domains will rank high but I don't see a valid reason for blacklisting them :)

I thought they never rank high to begin with.

Some are currently indexed, but the major SEs are seeking only original content on their pages, and parked domains are the anthesis to this philosophy. This should amplify the move toward a more content-based minisite rather than a pure PPC parking feed in the near future.

Have to agree, its been on all the major player's agendas for quite a long while. Is just really a twist on "duplicate content" sites

I agree... as a web surfer, I find parked domains and parking pages annoying. IMO, they have no reason to be indexed.

I think search engines should block search portal pages from bad registrars. But the answer to your question: nope, they probably won't. Search engines doesn't wanna censure stuff.
