Any tool to track type ins?

I have several domain names and they all point to one website. This is done on the nameserver level (just create an A record and point to the server IP, nuffin more).

My question is how you can track sort of 'referrer track'? Meaning: how can I see how many type ins each domain had at e.g. the end of the year?

I installed a referrer tracking script but that does not seem to work: the A record of the domain names just points to the server IP and it shows the first website on the server, but it does not seem to track type ins, just real referrers.

Any suggestions?

I personally don't use the A records to forward my pointer domains. I simply use the free URL forwarding service that comes with the domain. I know with GoDaddy and DirectNIC URL forwarding is free... probably with most other registrars too.

The advantage is that by doing it this way... I can login to my site statistics and see the "Top Referrers" and it will show all the pointer domains that sent me the traffic.

For example, my main site is www.ROATCorp.com and I have a bunch of other domains like www.RonOfAllTrades.com, www.ROAT.com and .biz, .info, and so forth all pointing to that one main site. I can run my site stats at any time and see where my hits are coming from.

So, you may want to change to simply URL forward instead of doing the A record change.

Hope this helps,
Ron
