Type-ins: .Net vs. .Com battle

Ok...

So I want a domain but the .com is taken is it worth getting the .net ??

I'm thinking in terms of type-ins (from memory of the name etc.)

By default the type-in works with .com
If you can build some brand surfers will attach to their mind the .net
.net are not always good for all type of domains
Usually internet related sites are good with .net

dont do it unless..

unless you are going to build a brand and spend money on it.

otherwise, type in is all .com in the US, I believe over 90%

internationally, you may do better with other TLDs.
