So, for anyone who thinks that .mobi is a failure, or that the registry needs to 'help' domainers to make a living (this I can't get my head around - if I never hear from them again, so what???????), read this;
I have never done anything more than park my .mobis since buying them.
I did not buy any .mobis until early Oct 06, after I had seen some secondary sales reported.
I have never bought a .mobi on the secondary market, ie, all my .mobis are hand reg'd.
I have approx 150 .mobis across several languages and various themes.
Now consider this;
If I sold my top 15 .mobis at a multiple of 30 months revenue (based on May's figures, so far), I would recoup my total investment and have a small profit.
I admit, this is far in excess of my expectations at this early stage of the game.
This to me says that .mobi has something that most other extensions will never have.
RFP delayed? So what...?
mTLD don't respond to questions posed on a forum? So what...?
Got to develope to see a profit? Not true.
When it all comes down to it, the three most important factors to consider with .mobi, domains, and business;
1. Revenue
2. Revenue
3. Revenue
What else matters?
