No living person in good health who knows enough about to domain names to register these two names would let them drop.

Jeff from Saw.com told me he believes it could be a different story, and that’s where it gets interesting.

It’s possible both domains were bought by someone else, while the old Sedo account (from 2002) remained with active listings. The business later shut down, and the domains eventually expired.

Maybe this wasn’t a regular domainer at all. Maybe the domains were originally sold by the same domainer, but later owned by a business (or two) that let them expire.

I remember a similar case with signature.ai: about eight months ago, a business launched on it, then shut down and let the domain expire.

if I had to guess - someone downloaded the old site by scraping web archive (theres tools you can use in the terminal to do it) and then put the old site back up, without the full functionality.

If thats true then I worry for whoever is doing that. If something else, then I am not sure whats going on.

It seems that someone actually used a 2024 version of the website for the current live site.

On the other hand, The Nutr company (which appeared on Shark Tank, season 14) posted on its official Facebook page back in June that it was facing issues after the tariff changes and apologized for the lack of communication. Shortly after, the domain name was allowed to expire.

Additionally, their trademarks also appear to be expired. But still…
