Has anyone had experience that from time to time domains that were previously shown as free in bulk search were not free 5 minutes later when you enter the same one in usual search?
Mistyped for sure not because I immediately thought that might be the reason so I paid full attention to it.Maybe it is about real time. Maybe fresh data late for a while in bulk search because of some reason.Hi
you have to own it, before it can be theft.
also, registrar you used, may not be real-time
or, you have could mistyped the name in bulk and put correct spelling in single search
or, somebody else had same name in mind and registered it before you did.
check whois, to see when domain in question was registered.
imo...
I don't know what's crazier. My thought of something like that or that something like that could really happen. Some registrars show the most uncanny domains as free, but "change their mind" when you try adding them to cart. It's just lazy coding (saving on api calls), not malevolence. Of course it can happen that you check a domain and it's free, then a few hours, minutes or even seconds later it's taken. Happens often with domains expired in the last few days, or with domains related to current news, but for me it also happened at least once with a domain I just thought about without any context.
enjoy not enjojI don't know what's crazier. My thought of something like that or that something like that could really happen.
I hope the namepros would buzz about it if something like this really happened often.
Thank You for your post. last three domains I wrote: enjojrealestate.com, getinrealestate.com and ready4realestate.com . So, classic not uncanny and 2-3 minutes later and all three in that case.
It's just nice to hear that it's not malevolence from you and it's nice not to hear buzz on napepros on this subject in general.
Thank You and good luck.

I have checked three of them on who.is and yes they had already been registered months before.Hi

Hahaha. You’ve found a beginner in domaining to tease him. That's it.
haha no, I have better to do than teasing beginners.Hahaha. You’ve found a beginner in domaining to tease him.
What if registrars can buy names and back date them? Hardly likelyI have private reasons for not using GoDaddy to search for unregistered domains. It might be poor coding or something else but I still have my doubts.
After all we don't live in a fair world.
What if registrars can grab domains and backdate them?
They actually own the programs, what are the things they can view from their end that's hidden to the public? I can go on and on. But don't mind me. I'm sleep typing again
To add on the "back dating" part is that, yes a registrar can change the registration date it has internally and on their whois endpoint, however, the registration date at the registry will not be "back dated".What if registrars can buy names and back date them? Hardly likely
I think it is about some kind of time delay relating to bulk search. I checked those domains on the who.is page and they have been registered months ago before then showed available in bulk search. I don' believe that they are so much connected. The matter of the fact is that today's world is unfair but in this case I think it is matter of time delay regarding bulk search or something similar to that. Good luck.I have private reasons for not using GoDaddy to search for unregistered domains. It might be poor coding or something else but I still have my doubts.

Interesting information. Thank You.To add on the "back dating" part is that, yes a registrar can change the registration date it has internally and on their whois endpoint, however, the registration date at the registry will not be "back dated".
It will stay exactly the same and only users performing a whois/rdap request on the registrar endpoint will see the false date, but it's always best to refer to the registry for the most accurate information if you don't need anything the registrar controls/publishes such as the contacts
At that scale, it's not done by hand.amazing how threads like these always end same way. plz just consider b4 posting that gd and others have better things to do than just the silly names we search for.
it's wasn't on Godady it happened on Dynadot. But more another very good suggestion from You.Hi
just a note
i would never use gobaddy, to check domain availability
use another registrar to check, then go register at gd if you wish.
also, there have been reported instances of "frontrunning" domains at the registrar level
the article below is from 2012
