Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

The use of the term "strain" in the cannabis industry has always been a pet peeve of mine. Interesting article i found;
https://www.cannabistech.com/articles/strain-refers-to-viruses-not-cannabis/
Hope everyone is doing well through this virus shutdown i hope you don't catch this nasty "strain" that's going around! :D
Best wishes!
Thanks for sharing,
Though I have to politely and STRONGLY disagree!
I know SEVERAL in and out outside the Canna business whom LOVE IT! Including myself.
Also most breeders and clones as well! It’s not negative sounding at all, unless “you” chose to talk a bout “viruses”.....
Most people love the idea strain selection and being help to pick through all the “ colors and flavors”
IMHO
You can call a bus a car and love the name all you want. It's facts regarding the English language.
What are you even trying to get at???? What you just said holds no water.....
I have roughly 100 Linked connections whom either grow, breed, trade and sell Cannabis, Hemp, cbd ...everyday day on linked.
I can’t tel you how many TIMES i see the word Strain or Strains used by those at the Top of the Industry.....
English has nothing to do with, more sound like HATE the name so that’s that....but in reality it’s used for a reason and others including the ones IN THE FEILD see your view point differently.
Btw do you know how to cross breed Peas??Asking for a friend ...
Yeah, it was probably introduced through pop culture is my guess. High Times or something along those lines.
I'm not saying its not used, i have bought and sold very nice strain names in the aftermarket. For domains we look at what pop culture dictates for keyword use so i get it.
I also studied plant science so this is where i get my knowledge from, yes i can probably find you breeder stage guy for your peas. Need me to follow up?
Any other plant in the world is not referred to as a strain. Yes strain is used but is it because some dumb a55 didn't edit an article back in the day? maybe....
So all this article does is point out, using the term strain for plants is technically incorrect but as we know socially via pop culture it is not for cannabis.
Over the last few years i have seen term variety and cultivar being used more.
I’m good on the breeder. Thanks
And thanks for the extra details, ok so yes basically we agree and acknowledge on certain facts and disagree on the “ Word Taste” of the word and usage! You weren’t lying about it being your “pet peeve” lol sorry I stirred the Pot, no pun
All good mate, appreciate the article...and Happy Tokes to ya
It is my pet peeve, so much so that i bought some of the best strain domains to bury them in a deep dark hole never to be seen again. Then i got an offer on the lot and the rest is history... lol
Lmao...well that’s one way to turn a positive to a negative lol. There a few others I’d like to own, but I’m also happy just owning what believe is the one with the largest potential...holding out Extremely high figures or until I can formulate a team and capital and build it out...oh Leafly would not be happy lol ( even have people that have told me they will be made with me if I sell and don’t develop) we’ll see!
Strains is the keyword used to describe varieties of pot. That’s a fact.
