It's not entirely the fault of domainers as the registry hoarded the valuable keywords for auctions like the mobi registry before, nonetheless lack of research ultimately amounts to money flushed downed the drain - plain and simple. With names like sarajevo.asia it's not just the extension that sucks, domainers register names without any research whatsoever, as if they were dealing with lottery scratch-off tickets :red:

Well, I guess it depends on how you look at value in keywords...


For example, I listed Carer.asia above, as a creme domain....It has O/T of 973,962 per month - 'Carer' is a huge term in the medical field, related to care of the sick, the disabled, the old, the infirm, elderly retirees - and, care for children, from nanny's & child-minders onward....All this applies to people in the countries of Asia, too, of course.

I'm not sure too many people that owned a .com term with almost 1,000,000 O/T per month - and that had so many potential known, needed, and popular everyday applications - would credibly say that was not a premium word...


Again, I listed Launches.asia above....This word has O/T of 386,451 per month....Space exploration, Space Stations, lunar research, Shuttle landings, and Mars landings etc mean regular space ship launches....and enduring interest in launch activity (hence the high O/T, of course).....Also, of course, product launches etc.....With Russia, China (and others) actively involved in space travel initiatives, this is an Asian thing, too...


Again, I'm not sure too many people that owned a .com term with almost 400,000 O/T per month - with a very specific range of known popular applications - would credibly say that was not a premium word.


...I'd say fair to claim them as 'investment grade' 'creme' words....especially, when acquired for Reg fee...

What I find highly amusing is that despite the fact the evidence is suggesting that the most valuable domains in dot EU generally have a localised flavour, even if they are ASCII Typos of the real thing, it seems that local flavour is being totally and utterly ignored by those registering dot Asia. Nearly everything is what the average frustrated American domainer would register in dot Com given half a choice. To me this suggests that it is not the Asian market that is being targeted by the by proxy the US market. Now, I can understand why .TV might sound attractive in the US. although it orginal meant Tuvalu, but I am a bit lost on why dot Asia might be such a good idea in that market. As for the bit about Analyst putting this extension second behind dot com well, it is just going to cost a lot of money in keyboard replacement due to the inability of readers to swallow liquids whilst splitting their sides.

C64 or Commodore 64 I have one at my home. This is a domain that a lot of end users will fight for. Yes, because the 1982 release is so new, and the 64 kb memory is unbeaten. Many companies will want this and will pay big bucks for it .... not.

Or Memristors ... while I do not like .biz, but it is available in .biz, and even if I have 0 .asia's or .biz's, this one is too early to speculate on.

sweet memories


although i was bought an amstrad cpc464 first with green monitor

my friends had acorns and then bbc's, then everyone had commodores, they are still good now, was gonna get one other day on ebay for nostalgia purposes

although i still remember playing tennis on the atari lol
