A lot of domain investors also invest in crypto currency it seems as of late. I usually feel pretty confident that a domain I carefully acquire today will be a 10x+ my investment including holding time. If say, I were to buy bitcoin today, is it feasible that i would get 10x my money?

I tried going back to my emails and wallet records of different transfers to do a comparison by coin but apparently the emails are going out a bit later than transaction initiation and perhaps the wallet record is showing a time after the first or third confirmation but before the transaction has cleared. I have noted mentally that Bitcoin transactions are the slowest and when network volume is high Ethereum gas fees can spike. Litecoin transactions clear much faster than Bitcoin - generally within 30 minutes while Ethereum and EOS transfers are the fastest and of course there is more utility for Dapps with them. BCH will send a pending transaction notification shortly after the transaction is initiated BUT clearance times can still be delayed till six confirmations or more than an hour.

so.. did you guys read a story about a guy who found like 10s of millions worth of bitcoins he mined a good few years ago... and was able to sell it all... plus all the forks equivalent on top of it... bch... btcsv etc... all it took was thta little wallet.dat file on a little usb drive.

he posted on bitcoin.org I think.. asking people to walk him through process. and they did.

yeah.. 3.8k sounds good for btc..
but at same time... with this mega ultra huge black swan event called corona virus... a once in lifetime type of event.. im not sure about btc or cryptos any more!

i mean there was a time niot long ago when 4k for btc buying sounded amazing... and then came corona! :)

well, in meantime, lets make the best of the dips... and hopefully we get it right! :)

Your target sell price should be minimum $5,325
Don't sell underneath that price or you'll be sent to the corner on time out lol

hmm.. u mean I should not sell my btc for less than 5325? but it was starting to go up in a serious way at like 4800 this morning.. so I sold like 1/3rd of it there.. then it kept going uip.. so I Sold another 1/3 @ 4900... then last 1/3 @ like 5100... more or less there.

how can I just aim for a singular sell value like 5350 when btc is all over the place all day long? i mean even this singular value you give me now, its all based on current btc picture right? so even this value you basically adjust daily or what?

ahah
i don't wanna chill.. i wanna learn and double my bitcoin selling high and buying low :)

yeah, i know it's probably good idea to just buy more btc now < 5k.. with fiat.. but.. it still about money we can afford to lose only!. though im having some doubts about that seeing how bitcoin totally didn't withstand the corona blow.. i mean didn't we all think it'll be more than 5k today?

Put your sell order to automatically sell at that price. I believe binance has that option?

yes... it has limit market order... which is like specific value right...?

then it has stop loss.. which one is better? I never used stoploss. i think it guarantees you a sale at stoploss value... and then tries to get the market order of even better value for you right? which one do you use?

Don't put more fiat in your account, you have enough already.
I was saying if you did have in your account already to buy more under 5I.

Stop that 1/3 crap!
All in... All out.
Set your goal and stick to it.

I DON'T use binance anymore, as I said prior in this thread I have a custom bot.

I wasn’t interested in the exchange portion. Was just wondering how taxes are determined where you’re at?

Here, every trade is a taxable event. Best bet is to hold for a year to get the lower rate.

I use bithumb global, Gemini, coinbase, bittrex....

hmmm... I thought you meant to buy more bitcoin with fiat.. which I guess most bitcoin investors do... with like credit card or something. cause now I just trade my bitcoin back and forth... not buy with fiat... you know that stable coin thing usdt....sell high buy low...

if u got extra cash to play with i think its good to buy some more btc with fiat... im just not sure at which value... i didnt expect btc to fall so hard.

No, don't buy more. Just use what you have.
All in, all out. Set your target.. in this case I set it for you.

just wondering.. are there any coins out there which don't esentially follow the btc value curve? how come everything has to be dependent on btc? it makes investing in other coins almost useless no?

Stay away from alt coins for now grasshopper.
You just got your feet wet, try not to drown.

yeah.. like JV said earlier on this thread.. its real easy to lose any profit made before in a single bad trade few days later.. so this is definitely a hard game to play.. imo..

but im sure some people are real good at it.. tons of stories on the net peopel making a lot of money with crypto trades! but as with everything.. domains.. crypto... alot of stories of people losing everything too

this recent btc crash must have sent a lot of people to bankrupcy... or other financial problems.. when you really think about it.. crypto and bitcoin cause a lot of evil in the world.. financial problems in marriages.. divorces.. etc.. best be careful... at least a domain is 10$ to reg and then a year to try to sell it.

but at same time, I know people from namepros who literally stopped domaining once they discovered crypto lol... cause it became much more profitable for them

i think it was back in 2017 or so.. where I read you could have bought ANY mix of coins whatsoever (basically blinfolded).. total of 1k investment.. in january.. and then by end of year, your folio value was 10k. i guess those times are over now :)

BOA. I’ve made btc in terms of value. The last few weeks have been good.

care to share some of your strategy for the beginners like me here to trading crypto? surely someone like you who been doing this trading for a while across a few exchanges, isn't just selling his bitcoins high and buying them back low back and forth like rest of us mere mortals huh? ;)

so you survived the btc price crash with flying colors I gather? my bitcoin got stuck in transit.. then reached binance when the party was over... who to blame for this? cause im tired of blaming myself ;) jk... no but seriously.. i just had to watch it live drop by 3k that day and couldn't do a thing! talk about a loss huh

ok I check BOA now. ty

cheers
