A great work of research and an interesting read. I have some unregistered flower relevant domains in my database. I couldn't think of a BUSINESS USE for any of them or what ads to serve for flower names. Here are the COM names if anybody likes flowers anthericum.com; ashleaved.com; broomrape.com; nightflowering.com; greatflowered.com; dittanyofcrete.com; hedysarum.com; hogbean.com; hybridcrinum.com; ladyseardrop.com; marvelofperu.com; quesnelia.com; redvalerian.com; peltated.com; wreathofroses.com; waxbells.com.

wow, great article Mr Bob. the tulip industry in holland is huge, they have their own stock market to distribute throughout the world. Fresh flowers are such a wonderful addition to a room, and they keep the romance world going. Cant do without them. Thanks for the recognition.

Remember, dont pick the wildflowers on the side of the road, Beautification in process. :)

marigolds are the easiest to grow, for the kiddies, if anyone wants to get their kids interested in growing plants, you see sprouts within 3 days and are hardy. Put em in your window sills, in your gardens, beside your driveway or around your mailbox. Makes for cheap and easy beautification. ty.

@The Durfer But it's ok to piss on wildflowers. Piss contains a high ratio of NPP nitrogen phosphorus potassium and is an excellent fertiliser. It's also a good deterrent for anyone picking wildflowers!

Yes I did not include plurals, as was trying to mainly get domain names as brands. The plural flowers is no doubt very popular for business names, though, and probably I should have included it. There are over 17,000 active OpenCorporate listings of businesses and organizations on the plural. The plural flowers only appears in one BrandBucket listing (after excluding names like FlowerStem), though.

The exact word flowers does not have a sale in .com in NameBio, but the .mobi has a sale of $200,000 in 2006, the purchaser being someone famous in our community. The .info sold for 5 figures, but seems not to be active.

Sorry for not including the flowering myrtle tree. Here is the data for it:
There are just over 5064 active OpenCorporate listings, but a large fraction seem to be businesses named after a street or avenue Myrtle. Still a very healthy number.
There are a few NameBio sales listed with it as a prefix, but the only 2 in $$$$ are around MyrtleBeach. No suffix or exact sales listed.
There is a single listing for myrtle in BrandBucket.
Thanks for pointing the name out.

@lock Don't think of a pink elephant. Think of any other colour than pink. Think of any other animal than an elephant. What coloured animal are you thinking about?

Awesome article and good timing as I’m in the process of selling a domain name with the word ‘flowers’ in it - nycweddingflowers.com

    Let’s see how it goes!

I see that the new sales just posted at NameBio include roses.io for $2500. A nice flip from the 2018 price.
