Hi Abdul I have a question: which of the following names you would renew if any? I think market is really tough right now and I will drop some of the names. I am asking you because you have a sort of feeling for .im domains.
Hockey.im
Boxer.im
Florist.im
Worker.im
Famous.im
Impossible.im

To be honest I would drop all of those names in .IM
I try to buy only high quality keywords in .IM because they are difficult to sell. Although they get traffic but inquiry level is almost zero.

Yeah mine get traffic, but no clicks. I even contacted all the florists in Isle of Man all hockey teams in Isle of Man, but there was no interest.

Yeah, true. That's why I think it's better to drop them. In case, any of that name is making enough money to pay renewal than you it's good to keep that name. Otherwise I would suggest to drop.

Be very careful if you have .im domains at dynadot, the renewal price is $30, ridiculously high!

I liked the name and have reg. it. Then I found this thread and read all the info for .im domain names - it is very helpful. And as I see there are a people with good experience of .im domains (like Abdul). So, really will apreciate to hear your opinion.

I used to get more inquiries in the past for my .IM domains as compare to now. There is traffic but not much interest from endusers. Soft is nice keyword and fits with .IM but resale value is mid-high $xxx to enduser IMO. I am currently holding my top keywords and dropping some of them. I haven't seen any interest in geo names so I would suggest to stay away from geo .IM names unless you have a plan to develop on it.

I registered these two, gr.im and ma.im, a few years ago and it looks like these may turn out to be more interesting than I thought. Both a short and both are dictionary words, albeit, dark words

What you think think these are worth as domains for sale?

Or, what do you think I should/could do with them to develop?

IMO don't see much resale value.

Nice keyword but not much interest these days from endusers for .IM domains. Better to develop as I have dropped some better .IM domains due to lack of interest...

How can you say these can be more interesting in coming years? In what sense? There are many more LL.IM available.... Might be some dictionary words too. Have you got any inquiry so far? The problem with LL.IM is the renewal fee of $500 p/year and not much interest from endusers and with lot of gTLDs launch .IM registry must change their strategy by dropping the prices for their LL.IM and L.IM domains to be more competitive and get more attraction from domainers/endusers...

I'd say don't develop. If the renewal fee is $500/year like I read, you'd have to make that much with advertising just to cover your costs. Not an easy thing to do. It's a nice domain hack, try to sell it.

The problem with these domain hacks is that they have a negative connotation, that makes them less appealing to an end user. The renewal fee doesn't help. Good luck.

Yeah, I have seen it. Also mobile.IM which was sold for $7k. Later dropped and I grabbed it

Past sales have nothing to do with the future bro! Hence dropped and regged for $10 6 years later.
