One thing which I have noticed over the last few years is that domains which are "too generic" say like...

FurnitureStore
ChineseRestaurant
SummerDresses

are not viewed as that desirable as exact-match domains don't provide the benefit they once did. As well, SEO and Adwords are preferred over paying a domainer. Companies seem to be preferring brands over descriptive keywords.
