Ya godaddy has huge customer base and that is how they manage to get more customers for higher price.
once a customer you would be reluctant to registering at other places to avoid the hassle of managing things at multiple places. Domainers do this stuff registering at multiple places to reduce cost , but i would say the endusers would really like to avoid such multi registrar setup for different domains.
If you need DNSSEC GoDaddy's integration with its Premium DNS is a nice feature. Most registrars still don't support DNSSEC despite ICANN's requirement that support be mandatory for 2014.
