A lot of recent movies that have come out list their website with movie in the name, for example :

www.ring-themovie.com/
www.theterminal-themovie.com/
www.theisland-themovie.com/

Do you think that one day their could be a .movie?

No there won't because it is too specific. If things got that bad we would be seeing .hair, .car, .fart (you get the idea) :hehe:

Already too many TLDs.
Why can't the studios use their own domains.
e.g. movietitle.paramountmovies.com
movietitle2.paramountpictures.com
etc.

I've noticed some silly suggestions for city TLDs too

Nope.
But squatters are getting "quicker" at picking up every common combination of phrasing for any new movie announced on hsx.com or elsewhere.
And so the UDRP's will continue, and the frustration of surfers will continue to increase
