We lost our popular discussion thread about WhyPark. It was deleted by forum software when the thread starter's account was deleted (at his request). Sorry about that everyone.

This is a new thread being established to talk about WhyPark.

I also have stuck with WP. And although I received the G "slap" on 7 of my 60 domains, I still have others that rank in the top 2 pages of some very competitive search terms. An interesting item of note is that it appears to me that the 7 were all de-indexed at the same time, and it hasn't happened to my sites since.

I have taken a different approach than many. I only use WP for domains that had no natural traffic at Parked. So as far as I am concerned, if I earn $0.01 more than my Enhanced plan $10 fee, I am coming out ahead. MTD for February, I have had 11 of my 53 sites receive clicks, and I exceeded my monthly fee in earnings by the 10th of the month. Everything after that is gravy. AND REMEMBER, NONE OF THESE SITES EVEN EARNED $0.01 PARKED!!!

Something to consider, Yahoo has gotten really tough on banning their premium feed to domains. First off, unless your domain is a .com, .net, .org, or .info you are not getting the premium feed and your earnings will be much lower. While I have experienced some good paying clicks from the secondary feed, they are not as targeted as the premium feed thus fewer clicks at lower prices. My sites that are getting traffic are averaging an RPC from $0.05 to $1.22!

I still believe that there is a market for WP just as I believe that there is a market for Noomle although I don't use them. It just depends what you are looking for. I don't chance my adsense account and use the Yahoo feeds provided to WP by Parked. I would consider it foolish to use my adsense account on this or Noomle unless ALL content was original.

Nice to hear some insight.
Sounds like some people get nice whypark feed clicks
I never do good with their feed.I put up a webcam site and their related searches were for everything but webcams.Plain old sucked.
As for content would probably be better to get free articles from articlecircle.com or similar lots out there,just in quotation marks search the first sentence exactly see how many other sites have it as well.Thats what i do,will be doing alot more with my main sites.I like having 100 pages indexed at google then put it up at sedo creates alot more search links to your site.
By the way i am no computer expert I work in a vineyard pruning and caring for grape plants.

I'm glad that both BB and AW posted something positive about WP. It is good to see people still having success with it and there is a lot of nice folks attatched to the platform. Good to see it's not all gloom and doom.

I had about 15% of my WP domains get de-indexed and lose all PR over the past month. There is no apparent method to Google's madness as some had unique content and others did not, some were 10+ years old, others were <1 year, and none linked to bad neighborhoods.

Bing doesn't index anything on WP even with 100% unique content in my experience.

I still dont know what to think of whypark,it looks so good.
according to google stats 30 visitors a day for 50 sites i think i have there.
No money was making money and still am at sedo,that may be to all the pages indexed out there .I see onlinefinance. these are .ca was getting 10-12 hits a day at sedo but onlinefinances. was getting 2-3 I looked the plural version is no longer found in google still 90 pages at yahoo that sucks,maybe because it is forwarded to sedo page???is that possible???maybe i should change dns..
would be nice to find an alternative i think has been DNF sending me emails about ad ready websites but are like 40 bucks each i looked at there samples and is ezine articles same as whypark free content can go get that myself.I see google crawled bannermaker dot ca on feb 20 all went well...

Well moved everything back to whypark,want to move to sedo.Just that people that would be buying my name are not pro's and be discouraged with the process of even requesting a price by having to register with sedo.
I'm mostly .ca and they are 1-500 dollar names,not worth sedo giving them 100 per sale.I wonder if google isnt deindexing sites at random,for whatever reasons or requirement,even for other parked names and since we are all whypark is all we notice.

I think i am going to try a netfirms advantage package develop some main sites with phpbb or wordpress something different,anyone have some tips where to move their domains?

I actually just starting to use WhyPark and so far some of my names also had been de-indexed from Google. So I pointed all my domains to my DNS. I will start removing most of domains from WhyPark (i'm might do this with other parking company as well)

The name servers are set correctly at the registrar, and I have added the Name to my Whypark account

When I try and open this site, it just goes to the Whypark logon page???

Any ideas??

giles,I tried the link same thing.Double check the servers and all again,you can also keep your old nameservers and change the a-record
Any extension should work to my knowledge.Maybe typo at whypark when you entered it

GILES I tried to visit sites in your signature and they are coming in as service unavailable are you aware of this,are they whypark sites???I was typing them in without the www. in front they work with the www. infront of the name
I also did a site search on your site 3dmovie.net and is 5 years old and not indexed by google?That would bother me,was it indexed before??

I am starting to see the sites that were de indexed by google are not showing any ads just a kiva ad or some thing for charity.That was www.OnlineFinances.ca I thought was a premium name,aint worth dick now sell it for 25 dollars includes one extra year reg.5 visitors there in last 30 days was probably me,not good for a 2+ year old domain. better get the singular virgin out of there before goog dumps on it too,it has had 46 visitors in 30 days and has 90 pages indexed at goo onlinefinances at one time had 120 pages indexed now 0
tried giving whypark benifit of the doubt the would fix their issues but onlinefinances and others being deindexed I am looking into noomle and have wordpress and other applications to play with thru my netfirms.com advantage hosting pack.
Some sites have for 3 months not indexed and only 1 visitor a month,me,now i dont know if it will ever get indexed maybe is on goo's chit list already.
Time to start trying to increase the value of my names instead of sitting waiting for whypark to do it.:imho:

I see my new hand reg name OkHomeSales a wordpress page has been indexed in 3 days,some whypark sites never get indexed.Like duh!
3 days......first page if you search ok home sales for canada
I will be switching onlinefinances to word press to see if i can get it indexed.

Well names continue to disappear from google,latest hits are netbucks and bettergardens both dot ca
I wonder if i didnt have google ads would have made a difference.
I was investigating a site contentminisites.com regarding setting up some minisites and the have websites for examples.like applepicking.comVery nice site but not indexed at google....so I searched a bunch of their sites they use for examples and they are not indexed either.Some have 1000 pages indexed at google some have 0.Whypark is not the only one getting hit with delisting,every area seems to be getting nailed.I guess if you have genuine content not duplicate on 3000 other websites you dont have to worry.
I like sedo,but hate the fact i cant advertise my sites elsewhere if i am forwarding to a parked page and cant contact me unless thryu sedo.I just want to flip 10 dollar domains for 50-100 they want 100 to do up a .ca deal.
Doesnt look good for whypark,I need an alternative other than a sedo parked page tho.

Well whypark seems dead now,i dont have much to say either i guess.I'll be removing all my names from whypark,there are better options out there.I still have articles from 2007 on my wine sites,thanks wp that will get you a good page ranking.

I think it would be great if they banned parked pages all together. Then advertisers would pay more to display their adds on related websites. It would help boost the development of domains and people would not whine about domain "campers"

If you have a lot of domains de-indexed, how can you make google index them again? You can't submit that "reconsider" many times on the webtools since you have so many.

Even if you only have one domain, google will not reply to you unless you will have a good reason.
