We all know about the cheap, the average, the popular but what about bullet proof security of various problems that may happen to your domain

When you have an expensive domain you are a target for many people that dreaming of the domain

Which registrar would you trust your expensive domain(s) and why ?
What is different with this registrar compared with the others ?
What's your definition of total security to help you create a peace of mind state for your domain ?

Apart from high jacking, if you get a false spam accusation or any other legal issue, will this registrar hold your domain active until he gets a legal order ?

Hi D-K,

We are still working through the various issues needed to get this implemented. It is definitely something we are keen to offer, but at this stage we are going through the legalities, development, etc.

Unfortunately I am unable to give you a time frame as to when this will be available. As soon as I have more information, I will be sure to let you know.

Cheers,

Mike

You could try register.com, you can't transfer a domain out unless you call them and answer some pre-set security questions...I assume its pretty safe that way but I don't know for sure.

..worth checking out further though :)

I would not recommend Enom, i had domains removed from my account without them even sending an email regarding the issue. Many people have had their accounts hacked there also.

I moved my most expensive domain from there to Godaddy. At least Godaddy answer the phone, and send emails everytime an account change is made.

At the end of the day you need to be able to sleep at night and know everything is fine. I would look around at a few registers and then make a decision.

A lot of folks dislike NetSol. But it seems that your domain is pretty valuable.
Perhaps the best approach would be to leave it right there

Hi guys,

We are definitely going to offer Whois Privacy. However, there are a number of things we need to finalize before we can release this.

It's on it's way though. I'll keep you posted as soon as I have more information.

Thanks for you patience.

Mike,

I hear great things about Fabulous.com...

But, I heard, also, that essentially Fabulous is only interested in .coms....tho, I'm not sure what that means in terms of your monetization/retail plan arrangements.

I own a lot of top keyword non .com extensions...Mainly in .mobi & .asia + others.

In short, is there any reason why I shouldn't transfer these names to Fabulous.com?....Are non .coms welcome there?

Hi DomainTalker,

As SpareDomains mentioned, we only support registrations for .com, .net, .org and .info domains.

In terms of monetizing, we are primarily interested in English language domains that consist of 2-3 commercial terms/phrases which receive type-in/direct navigation traffic.

There are a number of metrics we take into consideration when reviewing portfolios. Two very important factors are whether or not the phrase/term the domain name consists of has a search count and/or paid advertisers in the major PPC search engines, Google/Overture.

If in the future you acquire some domains that feel meet these requirements, please send me a list. Examples of domains we are looking to park include, bedroomfurniture.com, onlinegames.com, cheapcomputers.com, etc.

Let me know if there's any other questions.

Cheers,

Mike
