Which is better, GoDaddy or Namecheap, and why?

i have used godaddy for the past 4 years or so and in general like them. I have one or 2 names at namecheap, just from buying domains off others, and their control panel and basic stuff seems a lot more streamlined and user friendly.

should i switch to namecheap? what can they offer/what about them is better than godaddy?

If I understand right, NC does not offer phone support in order to keep costs lower. But they answer clearly and fast - and I have had experience with them for a few years now, never any problem, always a good support. My habit is never to call support anyway. Of course, for people who want to call, NC probably won't be the right solution. But if there is a good, reliable, prompt email support, what's the problem?

I have about 92 domains at namecheap and have used them for past 5 or 6 years. I have no complaints other than renewal price. Their support responses (email) is pretty fast.

I also have some domains at godaddy... and things which I don't like about godaddy are: godaddy's ridiculous offers all over the place, confusing control panel and couple of others! If it wasn't for these dislikes, I would have switched to godaddy long time ago.

namecheap are so much better, not just the user interface or support or anything else. No offence to any other registrar or second seller.

Every domain i have regestered with NC, out perform every other registrar in terms of my parking revenue. They must offer a higher level of trust or somthing. That is a comparison to just about any registrar i can think of.

And again,, Name cheap coupon code make them very competitive.

Namecheap is much better than Godaddy on all fronts.......Who needs 24hr tel. support when the person on the other end at 3:00am on a Sunday morning has no idea how to help you anyway?
All I can say to anyone who has domains reg'd at Godaddy is pray you never have any of your domains stolen!

NameCheap.com wins hands down, GoDaddy is so bloated its not funny, including the owners head...

luckily I've had no problems with Godaddy, that's why I would recommend them because of the price...
