namecheap was not so good, but is better now
first I transferred a name from godaddy to namecheap. very smooth no problem.
then I attempted to transfer a name from namecheap to godaddy.
It stuck in pending, sent 2 messages to namecheap. no action.
Then namecheap had one of its bouts of 'technical problems, so I left them alone.
Name then appeared to have been successfully transferred to GD.
However it is still appearing in my namecheap a/c.
Sent another message. The reply? 'it appears to be to be in our account'
I have sent another message to namecheap asking yet again what is the problem? why can't they carry out my instructions, is there any way I can further assist them understanding my requests?
The problem has now been fixed.
I have 20+ names now on namecheap and normally their communications are very fast. I will put this one down as an exception...(maybe they read namepros !). The whoisguard facility is excellent and works out better value than using the godaddy equivalent.
