Where is the catch with so many new gTLD sales on Flippa?

Honestly, I dont like Flippa very much and not visiting it regularly, but would like to know if any of you know where is the catch with so many new gTLD sales there in the recent weeks?

They look like cookie-cutter coupon sites on $1 domains.
