What should I do?

Hi Senior Members

During my earlier days of domaining I registered few names which were worthless. I have parked them with Sedo but it gets no traffic and I know they won't sell either . I still have around 9-10 months left on all of those domain to expire.

Can I do something about those domains so that they can still return me atleast something instead of just waiting to let them expire.

I'm not that much of a senior but without knowing what your domain names are, is hard to give any advice....

Needless to say, there are a couple of possibilities that I can suggest:

1) Develop them - you say they are worthless but I've seen a lot of worthless domains make good money, seo optimize the site, promote and market the site and you might see some money from it...long route!.

2) Sell them - Sell them at NP's or Ebay or whoever wants to buy them, better to run with some money than waiting for it to drop for free.

I agree. Develop the names by getting hosting and putting sites on them that make snse for the domain names. If you don't know about web design you can buy cheap sites or scripts and get something for not too much. Then if you promote them they will have a chance to earn something.

Or you can try to sell the site once you have something. You may not make much money, but you may break even or make a little, it depends on the site and your ability to sell.

The other option is to park the domains somewhere else. I highly recommend this if you are getting traffic, but not making any money. If you are not getting much traffic, park at someplace like domainSpa.com because they allow you to get some links for your domain which should help you get some traffic.

if you don't have the time/energy to develop, then you could unload them for a dollar or two here on the forums. every now and then there's someone looking to buy a bulk load of domains cheaply. don't wait too long though as they usually want there to be at least a few months of registration left.
