What laptop should I be getting?

it is about time i bought a laptop so i was wondering which make i should go for? I have about 500 pound to spend on one. as long as it has all the basic features im happy. post your suggestions if you have any. this is what i think ill get http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/572_326585.html

Looks like a good one for the price that you're looking at.

The only thing that I'd be scared of is the battery. That model might be a part of the recall. Make sure before you buy it.

Well i think Dell laptops are better when it comes to both price and support. I hope members who have Sony laptops would tell us more about this brand.

I don't know, put if you are looking for power you should get a toshiba.

DONT get a toshiba or dell

3 years ago, toshis where great, they slipped imho.

get a hp nx6325. its a business level notebook, but dual core amd, 1gb memory, dvdburner, wireless, bluetooth, card reader, 3usb ports, vga port, and it is a fantastic unit and just peforms brilliantly!!

I've been running my Sony Vaio for three years now with heavy use, traveling two weeks per month with it. I've really put it through its paces.So far, I've had zero problems. When all else failed, it worked.

The main complaint I have is battery life, but that's because it's an older large screen (with incredibly high screen resolution) that takes too much power; but to this day, everyone who sees it says the screen is the best they've ever seen.

The new Sonys are superb...I'll be buying one at the end of this year....not sure which model, but one that weighs under 4 lbs.

May I also suggest a mac. Nice machines especially with the ability to boot 2 OS's. Otherwise, I would suggest a dell if you must stay in the pc world...good luck with whatever you choose.
