Great idea! Next time a terrorist starts stabbing me in the chest I'm gonna pull out my phone, log into my GoDaddy account, and start transferring my domain names. Oh I almost forgot; and then call my girlfriend to tell her where to sell them.

I have a 'In Case I Die' folder with instructions on maintaining domains/sites. I have also included a couple of online names that my family can approach safely for help in liquidating unwanted domains.

Register your High valued Domains for longer period and list them for Sale. In case you meet your fate some of your Brandable Domains will make some decent profit for your family in the coming years...

Your domain will be caught by dropcatch and it's scary

Tell them that you own and parked some domains for sale ...

Change accountnumbers at your seller's dashboard or so can be a problem may be ...

Advice/solution welcome about this. Very interesting imo.

It's up to yourself wich strategy you have.

Maybe you can save some taxes in this way.

this is where lastpass.com comes in handy. put the lastpass password in the will or with a trusted friend.

That said, I am downsizing my names and selling them off on namejet and investing in something thats getting a greater return. 5% currently per month.

Oddly enough, @AlvinBrown interviewed @Rob Monster Monster on his latest KickstartCommerce-dot-com podcast, which I listened to earlier today. This topic came up (among a raft of others) and it turns out Epik-dot-com-slash-manage has a facility to help with this scenario. I haven't looked into it yet but will be doing so.

Just love the ideas people suggest for at the time of death. I was totally unaware people had dates and times in mind for the event.

Having undergone a major surgery recently, I do consider this a serious and important topic.

Getting ready for surgery among the least of my " what if " concerns was the future of my domain portfolio.

That is because my wife is fully informed and vested into the portfolio and could easily manage name renewals and potential name sales at fair market value.

Worked together for years with the domains so frankly that aspect of overall investments would just continue.

And too have a long term well documented contingency plans for the inevitable line of succession as necessary.

Preparedness in advance of " need " is always a good idea and we have basic and advanced plans for everything that matters to us, pets first and foremost.

So epik has a service for this? Would they be able to manage all of my domains across the various registrars that are US and foreign based. Some foreign registrars have no English translation and some are really wonky in domain management dashboard.
