I understand the value of city.US, epecially if it is a bigger well known city. But I don't think this is true for smaller cities. Example: Farmington, there is Farmington New Mexico, Farmington Minnesota, Farmington Connecticut, Farmington Missouri...etc.

What is going to be the best way to form a GEO domain for these location?

Would it be FarmingtonNM.US, FarmingtonMN.US, ... etc OR FarmingtonNewMexico.US, FarmingtonMinnesota.US?

In my opinion the abbreveated state is better because it is shorter.

Thanks for your thoughts. :)

.US domains.US domains
I like the full names myself and those tend to be the ones that have led to offers/sales for me. The City+State abbreviation is good though. I recall PittsburghPA.com going for something like $17,000 2-3 years ago and the .net version for about $1700. On the other hand, BoiseIdaho.com went for $175,000 earlier this year so there's a market for both varieties. I picked up NewYorkNY in 3 extensions over the years based on the same thinking you describe.

Good info there. I saw napervilleillinois.us was available and just had to grab it. Born and raised there and it is getting very popular as it is rated one of the "number on areas to raise your kids"

If it wasn't worth anything I could write a steady blog over that place!! lol..
