What Geo's cities worldwide do you think have the most value. I know opinions may vary. Note: I don't on any of these but do have many smaller geo cities:

Moscow.tv (Worlds most expensive city)
NewYork.tv (USA biggest City)
Orlando.tv (USA major tourist city)
LasVegas.tv (USA #1 casino city)
Seoul.tv (Worlds largest city)
Paris.tv (One of most popular tourist cities in world)
London.tv (One the most popular tourist cities in the world)
Dubai.tv (May be #1 fastest growing city for business development worldwide)

Thanks, Jim

Jim i would be happy with any of these( I do actually have one with John) they are all amazing names, and probably 8 of the the top 10 city Geos out there.

I would also throw Tokyo.tv and Beijing.tv in there aswell.

I should add that, this is completely disregarding any premium renewals.

Jim

If I could take these into my little world. The order in which I would rate them would be...

NewYork.tv
London.tv
Paris.tv
LasVegas.tv
Orlando.tv
Dubai.tv
Moscow.tv
Seoul.tv

The first three are in that position because there is a very strong 'resident' AND very strong 'tourist' AND very strong 'business' application for each.

The last three are in that position because the home language of each is not English.

Having said that - I would take ANY of them quite happily and congrats to Bob and John for owning at least one of them.

In today's "lowdown" at Dnjournal.com you can read about Dr. Chris Hartnett a big .tv investor and his trip to Dubai and what he has to say about the potential of the internet/Dubai.

national.tv owns orlando.tv

there all killer names... vegas is getting very hard hit among big cities

i vote for dubai.tv as best up and coming city for years to come... las vegas as a city is getting hammered and wouldnt want to own lasvegas.tv in a downturn like this and could last for years with layoffs, housing bubble and other factors. in an up economy be the best.

dubai with it growing fast i voted for this as top value

from a domainers view i would grab the only reg fee name on the list...wow...what a gem and amazing!

so many factors in this but these are the 2 picks...any name on list is killer

They are all exceptional. I would probably take NewYork.tv. London.tv is also nice due to the popularity of .tv in the UK.

These type of names usually carry very high renewal $XXXX. Seoul.tv should get a massive value bump due to the standard renewal fee.

National.tv/Online.tv owns both Orlando.tv and Paris.tv.

NetworkGlobal owns eParis.tv, but that is not such a big deal.

I would argue that WashingtonDC.TV is probably in the top 10 to top 15. Plus it is reg fee, which adds value to a city that is tourist destination, the eight largest metro area/city in the US, and the capital of the US - thus allowing a site to be either

a) Tourist Site
b) Resident Site
c) Federal Government/Election Site
d) a Combination

as we say in DC "World's Most Powerful City"

For US Geos, I would rank IMHO

1) NewYork.TV
2) LasVegas.TV
3) WashingtonDC.TV
4) LosAngeles.TV
5) Chicago.TV
6) Orlando.TV
7) Miami.TV
8) Boston.TV
9) Dallas.TV
10) SanDiego.TV

Taking your list Jim, I would rate LasVegas.tv and Dubai.tv among the highest two as they have more potential high paying end users in my opinion. Not looking at the differences in premium renewals my list would be:

1. LasVegas.tv
2. Dubai.tv
3. NewYork.tv
4. London.tv
5. Paris.tv
6. Moscow.tv
7. Orlando.tv
8. Seoul.tv

I like this order pretty good. I might switch Dubai and Orlando. They're all winners by long shot. Huge, just incredible future for the owners of these.

It's funny how nobody's mentioned Vegas.tv in the list, only LasVegas.tv. Personally I would say that Vegas.tv is worth more IMO.

In no particular order:

NewYork.tv
Vegas.tv
LasVegas.tv
LosAngeles.TV
London.tv
Tokyo.tv
Paris.tv
Dubai.tv

Hello .TV visionaries,

If this was a horse race to 7-figures I would say most everyone's top pick has a strong chance at cracking the barrier.

Just my gut feeling, but I think it's more likely to be an international non-US city. My choices are as follows:

1) Dubai.TV (No contest the "Secretariat" of horse racing, and no I don't own it)
2) New York (top US horse - the all time champion horse)
3) Bejing.TV (China horse - the super heavyweight horse)
4) Mumbai.TV (India horse - the rising contender horse)
5) London.TV (UK horse - the traditional champion horse)
6) Paris.TV (France horse - the tourism graceful horse)
7) Jerusalem.TV (Universal interest - the surprise dark horse)
8) Tokyo.TV (Japan horse - the solid work horse)
9) Berlin.TV (Korea horse - the high tech horse)
10) Los Angeles.TV (2nd US horse - role is to crack 6 figures and set teamate up for 7)

All the best.

Oops sorry StoneRoses: yes 2 corrections.

2) NewYork.TV (top US horse - the all time champion horse).
9) Berlin.TV (Germany horse - the high tech horse).

Non US city because: although the word "TV" is recognizable as a word in the US, internationally, not only is it recognizable but the word itself has a "cool ring" to the non-english speaking ear... really I don't know how to explain it, it is an intangible.
