What if the domain has long expired?

Hi,

I wanna know if anyone knows whether its worth to reg a domain that has long expired, say 3 months ago...

At that time there was traffic but now, if I reg it...will there still be traffic? It has no listings in the SEs anymore..

You might get a few stragglers who don't realise that the site is no longer functional, but i think generally you would have to rebuild the site, and develop the traffic yourself

if it is a good name then the length of expiry should not matter re potential for monetarisation if you park or develop with some care.

if the backlinks are still there, and the pagerank hasnt changed (might change when Google updates) . . . you might still get some traffic . . . and get some boost in search engine ranks . . .
