Weird situation with GoDaddy

So I've read a lot about people selling domains but never getting paid. However, I have the exact opposite problem. Someone bought my domain on GoDaddy auctions (registered through Pheenix) and has not even attempted to transfer the domain into their account yet. I was already paid by GoDaddy and the sale completely almost a month ago. I've written him twice and even GoDaddy has contacted him since I told them about the situation. The domain has been locked again due to the timeout period and I'm not comfortable keeping it unlocked.

Why would someone shell out 250 bucks and not take the domain they won?

Anybody know the process here?

I would say the buyer is entitled to their money back from GoDaddy because they never received the domain they paid for. In similar circumstances they refused to pay me until they saw the domain in the buyers account. So it is very weird indeed that you have been paid.

I thought so too. The only way to get money from what I understand is for them to mark the transfer as finalized. I want to give them the domain and have made an effort to contact them. I sure hope they aren't going to demand a refund since it hardly seems fair.

I've had this happen to me where I was paid directly through PayPal and the buyer never transferred the name to his account. I sent numerous emails to him to request the transfer out; but no replies. I eventually let the name drop so that I couldn't be accused of trying to make money out of him. It was a LLN.us which has since been picked up by somebody else, and is parked at Dynadot. That was over two years ago.

It happened with me too on NP.. the domain is still with me (couple of months have passed) waiting for reply form winning bidder for his details..
