Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship

Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

I just moved my domains from DomainNameSales to their partner (or whatever they are) Uniregistry. A domain that I had 4 inquiries for according to DNS turned out to have 31 inquiries when moved to Uniregistry.

A LLLL in the dating category is a gem, I believe that it is still early to sell, although the offer is very tempting,
be patient.

In the time I've had my premium VR domains on UNI, I've had zero offers but at least 3-4 on each at SEDO.

Is that the same group of folks that had the kickstarter a few months ago or is it a new group?

Ok. What I was trying to say is that 27 out of 31 inquiries were not revealed to me by DNS.

Noticing some weird registrations with a domain I have .com in the last few days.

.christmas, .mom, .juegos, .hiv, .blackfriday and some others have all been taken last few days.

Is this automated or is something going on with this name i don't know about? :guilty:

Difficult to say without knowing the name to which you are referring. Perhaps a simple Google search of the keyword, or whois searches on the newly reg'd names, will provide some insight.

I think it's a fault with the system tbh.

I always use 123-reg.co.uk to check things, but typing in random crap like hlsjfhajshf that's not even registered in .com the system is saying its registered these in these extensions.

Even says the same on Godaddy though, so must be a fault with certain extensions.

So your .com name is not reg'd in these other extensions, as your original post reads?

Either way, clear cache and cookies, close out of your browser, and relaunch.

If it doesn't fix the problem simply move on with life knowing you own the Com.

Cheers!

Hey Vitaliy! Have you held on to this or have you sold it? If you've held it thus far have you had any good offers? I don't see it in Namebio, so just curious.
Hey. Domain was sold for $9000 several month ago via DNS.

Regards,
Vitaliy

wow you own that? nice! sell it quickly. here's why.

https://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=y&IndexArea=product_en&CatId=&SearchText=9d+vr

9D VR has been around in China for a little while now. if they can perfect making it smaller like thee Oculus?

well you figure it out. Good luck! strike while thee iron is hot.

oh and this is of course a Short domain 4 characters with a great lucky Chinese number 3. very auspicious to the Chinese and the Chinese lately have been heavily snatching up short VR domains on REG not aftermarket. but who knows they might want aftermarket soon?

Bad advice!!! He should definitely not sell 3DVR.com quickly, unless there's a decent offer. It's a premium or near premium name in my opinion, so make sure you don't under-estimate it's value. .

Just realizing that there are already all WebVR based experiences on the web. See Oculus-Rex.com and Beloola.com. These are already quite old so I wouldn't be surprised if there are more.

You are correct. A problem with not necessarily the registry but the network they use to track availability across all registries. And many times the Core owners of the TLD's system go down for maintenance or problems.
Had the same problem last year at GD and others when researching many VR .io names.
Never did buy any.
It's just a bad thing when you don't have a clue that there is a problem and you think something is not available and it is. Going direct to the registry often is no help. They should have something to flag you to check back later.

6D, 7D, 8D, 9D, 10D those things are a load of crap imo. I wouldn’t go near them.

3D will soon be standard in VR, so whilst 3DVR may always be a good brandable, it could become redundant - I think with things like HD/3D/4D I think you need to have both variants like the guy who owns both VRHD and HDVR realised or they aren’t worth as much – He said he’s received a $40k offer for both, I highly doubt he would have got a $20k offer if he just had the 1.

I noticed that for the .game extension, anything you enter was 11K to reg.
