Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Playful’s Paul Bettner: VR is just getting its start, like Disney in the 1920s

Paul Bettner has been waiting for virtual reality for decades. That’s one reason why his VR gaming studio, Playful, created Lucky’s Tale as a launch game for the Oculus Rift VR headset.
It launched as part of a bundle with the Rift on March 28, and it has drawn praise as a platformer that was designed for the ground up for VR. It’s sort of like a cross between Mario and Crash Bandicoot. But it’s also not likely to sell many copies, as the number of Oculus Rift headsets that have shipped so far is fairly small. But the company is also planning to ship games on other VR devices over time.

Was reading a few pages back about brandable terms, just one that popped to mind that works great and using AR is CASTAR. They have been around for a while.

Now I need to read a few more pages and catch up, sorry!

Brilliant idea, but i'm not sure if watching something with the movement from another person won't give you nausea ? if in motion i think that they will need to give bag for vomiting with it, otherwise if it's for static video then should be perfect

The Eyse camera shows friends what you're doing in virtual reality

what do you guys think of the full words like virtualreality.GTLD
for me its a little long but VR.GTLD tend to be premiums

some can get pricey.. so it depends on your budget.

I only went for one (literally lol)

VirtualReality.one

and its just a cheap $10/year renewal.

They own VoidVR.com which redirects to TheVoid.com

For the newb's

Again, this play of VoidVR is about 'traffic leakage', There is value in TRAFFIC.
And you can see the value that is placed on that traffic when you see this kind of thing play out.

But most of these type sales are NDA so you may never see how much value.

Just noting again that it is the marketing advantages that bring value.

If you have marketing advantages to someone, you have value. Why else would they want it.
'Not very often' will you find a buyer willing to spend more than 1k just because they like the sound of it.

'Good SEO' and Google Adwords are not cheap.... and that fact is added to the value of names for traffic and re-capturing the loss of traffic bleeding.

really liked this one, its a really cool name for a vr news / info site.
i believe strongly in this kind of "general purpose names".
they may have appeal to a wide range of end users, since often you dont need to be a company with big resources to develop them.
$ pricing...? no idea, but imo they may have a nice future

I declined the buyer's very low $XXX offer and he told me that he registered VR-Leak.com and is going to develop it.

Excellent acquisition @LucidDomains
Are you able to provide any details? Will the purchase price/range be made public?

I saw it online with a BIN for high XXX and purchased it within minutes.

I wasn't planning on making any more large purchases, but this felt like an incredibly opportunity.

sounds like a good price.
sometimes we are lucky like that and sellers just need quick cash. maybe it was his case.
I assume it was not sitting around at that price for long.
hope you make nice roi in future. gl.

That wasn't just any random, large purchase while hoping for the best, that was a 100% solid investment. If I had seen it (at the price you saw it) I would have bought it too. I'll be watching that name to see where it goes, I really like it.

National Geographic is Bringing its World Class Photography and Filmmaking to VR

With its stunning imagery and commitment to in-depth coverage, you’d think National Geographic is the perfect publication to start working in VR. That’s going to happen very soon.
Speaking at this month’s Digital Content Newfronts event in New York, National Geographic announced that it would be launching its very own VR division, named the NG VR STUDIO. According to a press release, this new team will take viewers to “the front lines” of the society’s coverage. That will include following the crew ofNational Geographic Explorers series to 360 degree content and a tie-in to the upcoming television event, MARS, in which users will be able to attempt to build a home on the distant planet. They’ll also join photographers and filmmakers Brian Skerry and Renan Ozturk on assignments.

VirtualRealityMobile.com that has been picked up from deleted.coms by someone, obviously it's the reversed longtail version of Lucid's name, but who cares, great name too.

I didn't know you could predict the future.. please tell me what names to hand reg for 2025. This will save me alot of money and guess work.

damn.. all this time energy and investment for nothing! you should have told us this before about VR!

shame on you! I hope your mom gives you good old fashion spank for this!

;)

I hope my exaggeration is completely nonsense. I've invested at least 400USD in VR names, which is a lot for little guys like myself, considering that I have 2k USD more in non VR names.
