Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Sounds good sir!

I am actually considering VR for next 2 years and Holo for 5-10 years.

bad place for mentioning holo here.. they do have a thread though elsewhere... 5 years for VR is just my take on it. but I think if u read back through forum pages you will notice average being a bit higher than 2. cheers

Hey guys,

Which one do you like the most and think is worth more? GoVR .com or VRNetwork .com?

GoVR hands down.

No clue what a VRNetwork is. It's a good name, but no comparison to GoVR.

Lol the Chinese really have no respect and are fearless when it comes to trademarks and brands!!! Guess who owns tencentvr.com? Well it's not tencent. Seems to be owned by someone other than tencent. Seems rather ballsey. Especially when they are in the same neighborhood so to speak. Surprised tencent hasn't done a urdp TM on this domain immediately.

So if the Chinese have no fear about TM . would it be far-fetched that Chinese domain investor might like such TM domains thinking they might get a huge payday?

There seems to be a market for it.

Pick any Chinese or even American brand name and slap a VR or 360 in front or behind it just for fun and more than 60% of the time it will be Chinese owners in China.

Anyone care to comment? Thanks.

i think VRCad is a good one too, actually i was planning to get something like VRcadcam but then worried about trademark ... removed from my list

im new, don't wanna mess with Big Boys
FYI:
CAD is short for Computer Aided Design and is "generic".
I have been a user of Autodesk (TM) AutoCAD (TM) since the early 90's (dos v2.5) and they have been the leader in CAD. It is a easy assumption to make for a newb but without merit.
...........
3 years ago, I clearly made the connection of the use of VR/AR in the engineering fields as huge.
And right now they hold the highest possible uses worldwide of VR/AR in the "enterprise sector".
I didn't see a high amount of names being in play and when I entered that sub-niche. I found there was plenty of competition for the few names back then but managed to squeak out 3dvrcad. With vrcad probably being the king of the field.

I remember a high dollar sale of 3dcad.com & the .net when 3d solid modeling was the thing but can not find it in the historic records now. I can only say that it may be a highly speculative need only and less of a real need since 3dcad.com "is still parked after all these years". And I would hate to have been the buyer of it right now. But perhaps they are just overpriced. Would you rather have been the buyer or the seller?
Just thought I would point out that all that shines is not gold with an example.
Especially for the newb's. A real end user need is required or someone gets left holding the bag.
Sometimes there is a need if the pricing reflects a profitability for the end user.
But was that the problem here with 3dcad? The keyword search data was not there nor the natural traffic.
Speculation hits dead end. Will it be any different with VR ? I speculated with only a few.

GoVR.

Is this yours? If it is, well done. Massive.

@Together4Forever

You have some nice names in the VR and Holo space, definitely some of the better names I've seen here

Hey guys,

VRNetwork.com is much better, as much as I think GoVR is nice and short, it has its limitations, VR Network and networking will be huge, it could be a large cable or TV company with a network of VR Channels on TV. ......or a VR Networking, Social or Gaming site

Some info around VR Networks

@gilescoley Sir your feedback is much appreciated & as I mentioned I have only re-entered domain investing after loosing a lot of money only after reading a lot of dissuasion primarily of yourself, bond, fx. Futrs, and others.

You have inspired me to take a deep dive into these 2 techs of Holo & VR.

I have a lot of gratitude to all of your knowledge and I hope I succeed the second time around.

I'd vote for govr too.. vrnetwork is an amazing name though.. network of computers.. of people.. socializing.. many applications.. all amazing ones.

imo mid to high XXXX sale for vrnetwork if sold today. with a good multiplier factor in years to come!

He just gave a minor statement.

Absolutely right. He's also comparing VR and Holo in an entirely relevant way to the discussion of vr names. Do we need to create yet another thread devoted just to vr and holo domain name comparisons, simply to placate 2 or 3 pedantic aspies here?

Both GoVR and VRNetwork are really awesome. I like GoVR as a super brandable, and VRNetwork for the competitive edge it gives in the race to establish what will be THE VR network.

@alcy I don't appreciate the tone of your statement. One should keep his ago aside when having a healthy discussion. I think none of us are as immature as you probably perceive them to be. Anyways it was my statement and I apologise. Let's end this here and talk about VR

This thread specified "Showcase" in the first post by the thread starter, however like with most threads in a discussion forum, there will be discussion and debates. If anyone wishes to have a more targeted thread about VR sub-niches, VR comparisons, etc. without any other related VR discussion, they are more than welcomed to create one and specify posting guidelines in their thread. As long as this VR thread sticks with showcasing and general VR discussion, it's fine.

Please keep the thread on-topic.

Thanks,

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ Very Own VR HMD Doubles as a Beer Holder. Really.

ClevelandCavaliers-1000x502-mqfjzcs8hfl11dmr8898zil0f68ok3vkmhqep0py8s.png

We’ve seen VR headsets made out of McDonalds Happy Meal boxes and Coca-Cola crates. Now it’s time for an HMD that doubles as a beer holder. Really.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are responsible for this bizarre creation. The NBA team handed out a total of 750 of its own VR goggles at its playoff game against the Atlanta Hawks last night. The Cardboard-based kit runs off of a phone much like the countless other devices out there, but it also boasts one very unique feature. Recipients were able to hold the device upside down and fit beer cans inside for transportation.

Can you PM me?

Yup. Expecting a refund soon lol. The name was dropping from someone who does that habitually. But chanced it anyways hoping for an oversight. we'll see. It sucks. But the fact that I know who he is keeps me from tying up high xxx and x,xxx cash up.
Surprisingly nobody else bid on the name (I guess only I thought that VirtualAR = “Virtual Augmented Reality” was a nice VR/AR name), so I got it as a closeout for just $20. Didn’t tie up anything in terms of funds. Just bummed at missing out on what I felt was a bargain purchase.
