Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

I've been buying VR domains for a year waiting for the VR race to actually begin. Personally I consider the consumer release date of the Oculus as the official start of the race and once the Vive is out too in the following week we'll definitely be off!

T minus 3 days and counting. Who's excited?

T minus 2 days and counting.....

I have one interesting change to note with my VR names.

I now have some with a actual revenue from parking that may do much more than pay for themselves.
I have not changed anything with the parked pages. The traffic on them is the same.

The important thing is that "there are some relevant advertisers in the space now".

I would like to hear from those of you who may be witnessing the same.

Oh... Some with a P.O. Box in the U.S. might? get their Rift today (Saturday).

interesting. what sort of niche of vr are these domains and which parking company?

I have my domains directly on sale landers and bypassing parking pages completely (with bodis).. but if you say things are getting better for revenue on vr doamins, maybe I'll repark them. tnx for sharing.

Doesn't matter how many we hold. We need only 1 game changer domain but for the time being we don't know which will be that domain.

I'm getting tired with Afternic's constant price request emails. I guess it's not a bad problem to have but there's a reason I didn't bother to price my domains on that marketplace. And every time they send those Leads emails, they require you to set a floor and a buy now price within 48 hours. I think it's stupid to say "A lead indicates that someone is interested in the domain, but is not prepared to buy it yet. " If they're interested, let them send a freaking offer! They're back words!
That's my little rant for the day. Am I being unreasonable lol? #VRisLife :D

last auctions
final bids:
VRRoad $177 Dropcatch
RentVR $329 Snapnames

the secondary market is hot and some are taking advantageous positions for what is upon us

All of the names i'm speaking of had traffic and clicks history and most parked at sedo with generic sales lander with adds.

Here is what I can share that I find to be true.
I have no exact keyword correlation with any of them except the term "VR". They all had existing type-in traffic under or about 100/month and about 6-15 clicks/month. Some new, some old.
The newest one I understand a bit more, FreeVRgoggle .
Since there seems to be plenty of folks giving cardboard away for promotional purposes, I can see a advertiser buying into those keywords. It is only 7 months old? (one of my newest) but I'm averaging about 11 cents per click now where it was 1-2 cents for 3 clicks before. This one I fully understand.

Maybe see some good stats in adwords next month for what search terms CO's are buying into ??
Parking co's only get "lost search engine traffic". So you really need type-ins.

I would not suggest that parking is NOW A GOOD THING. But if you have traffic and clicks, there seems to be advertisers willing to pay for keywords in the VR market already. A Good Thing.
I might suggest if you have parked VR names, that you review the keyword data for those names and make sure it is up to date and not to spam the keyword list.
