Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Virtual reality not viable for 5 years, EA says
http://www.panarmenian.net/eng/news/200927/?
The great thing about VR is that there is so many fortune 500+ companies working on VR and they will all be fighting to own the no.1 spot in the market... The advantage of this is that the VR tech will benefit consumers with advance software being rapidly developed for our use...

Look how advance the iPhone has developed since 2011 with the iPhone 4 launch only 4 years in since rapid development of the tech... iPhone only came out it 2007 less than 8 years ago... There will be some exciting times ahead in the VR space...:)

Well, it didn't appeared, now can you tell us? (VRanimation.com)

Sorry, if its not revealed automatically, I won't be revealing it myself. It's a bit like showing your hand after you win in poker, if you don't have to, don't! There are other reasons and considerations too, but I will keep my cards hidden for now unless it's automatically posted. :D

VirtualSculpting (.C0M) is the only VR name I have for now..

At the moment, I'm building my first VR demo for the Rift (DK2) which should be playable within a couple of weeks. That said; during the first week of owning the Rift only spent time playing games and demos :ahhh:. If you have a chance, titles like the Vox Machinae, Elite Dangerous (demo of), Neos The Universe and many others are trully amazing experiences.

I'm waiting for "The Martian" VR Promo.
I think we are only 3 years from the first FULL sci-fi VR movie.
Perhaps a Star Wars or Star Trek movie.
That begs the question...
How do you simulate a Holodeck inside a Holodeck ?
....
Just a Tip today... (something I find pays off)
While looking for names, we all find that most have been reg'ed before our search.
I have kept a log of some names that were reg'ed but I felt were good names for a niche.
Not always does the current owner have the same intention as you with the name (niche) especially when abbreviations are involved.

By keeping track of renewal times with those names and a re-check, I have fond many turn back up as a drop or done dropped and are available for a hand reg again.

That is how I picked-up vrgoggle about 5 years ago (hand reg). Even though at that time, none of us thought VR was coming short of 10-15 years if at all since it had been promised for 2 decades before that.
That may be my best example but there were others.

I'll say, it's a lot of extra work but can pay off. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Can you say what's the domain? because I couldn't find it.

If it's a bidding war, it's most likely in a private auction.

(I'm not in it.)

Very good buy and news for our investments.
A domain with much potential.
It has passed through several hands and has been used for other purposes than virtual reality.
I am sure that sells well in not much time. It occupies the third position in the TOP TEN of public recent sales of domains with the acronym VR, many of them related to virtual reality (I guess).

1) $10200 sexVR.com
2) $10000 VRxxx.com
3) $7000 smartVR.com
4) $6500 VRo.com
5) $5000 VRart.com
6) $5000 VRtech.com
7) $5000 riverVR.com
8) $5000 VRgirls.com
9) $4995 liveVR.com
10) $4921 VRsales.com

Business is encouraged. Already there is less for the Christmas campaign.

Didn't someone sell StarVR in June for $7500 ?

I guess it was a private sale and not public. Perhaps the person who sold it could inform namebio of the pvt sale. It can only help everyone's else domains. It's up to them ultimately though.

Here's an image to give some perspective of what kind of VR devices are predominately being used right now, these are stats from one of my adult VR sites which is getting the most traffic. I think that because the number of "Unknown" devices is so high is because people are using incognito browser tabs to hide that they're browsing the site. I think it's safe to assume we can use the known stats to correlate to the unknown stats.

Good to see you are on the right track with your websites! And you where also making affiliate sales. I am very impressed because it is not easy to get VR sales at the moment. I am lucky to have other traditional sources of traffic to convert.

I am counting on my VR domains to make a big boom traffic wise in the next 6 months.

The Oculus Rift launch will be the big game changer.

Sounds like a steal. I'd expect this to be worth at least 15k minimum...

I see from a quick look at that data, My guess, The 'unknown' are mostly desktop's and looking at display res probably about 1/3 are using a DK1,DK2,OSVR and don't ID as a device.(soon to change)

I'm sure that the ratio will change much up and down over the next year as releases take place.
Ultimately, Mobile will be the dominate users because of cost. And especially in 2016 when faster CPU/GPU combos will be in use in at least everyone's flagship phones next year.

I still worry that there may not be enough of all types of content for the launch's.
Should be a bunch of content creators looking for branding names in 2016.
Thanks for the insight.
