Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
So let me see if I understand correctly how the Godaddy system works. If I let all of my domains expire then somebody can buy it, but I still have the option to renew it?

So in theory I could just let all my domains expire and renew the ones that people seem interested in?

Yes, people do this apparently.

So again... they aren't going to realize the value of their domain from the 272 pages of posts here on NamePros, that are constantly in the "New Replies" section everyone sees, and ranked by Google, nor will the see NameBio and domain sales charts, nor will they see any VR news reports... but they mysteriously realize the value because of my signature?

You don't just post in one thread, do you? No, you post all of this forum, so isn't fair to assume, people who don't even look at this thread, could see any number of your 900 posts across this entire forum and therefore see your signature quite easily. The type of people who don't know the value of VR might not be up to speed with NameBio and Domain Sale Chart. Not everyone knows what you know.

I'm actually in on some of these domains, and more than willing to duke it out at auction. We all see them on the drop lists; there is no mystery here. If you have been getting VR names on 'the cheap' I would question those purchases, just as I would question the quality of handregs at this point in the game.

Which domains you going for?

Again you have brought this back round to money. I'm about talking owners catching on and renewing.

'Cheap' is relative. I have bought the most expensive VR domain to date, which will be hitting DNJournal this week.

I helped put VR Sales on the map by purchasing this domain at this price. In turn increasing the value of everyone's portfolios.

There has been a lot of controversial talk about this domain that I acquired, but personally I think it's worth 20 times what I paid. I will not be selling for 5 years. I acquired...

Well you had an issue with me posting a few in the thread, so I moved it to sig.
The move was to accommodate you.

But after all these debates I keep answering to, now people know it's a good source of VR names... so... thank you?

I like FranceVR.com, I also like VRracer.com; these are two domains I will definitely be bidding on.

Congratulations on your acquisition of SexVR. This too will further VR domains. I hope it provides you with great profit and success. Are you hoping to develop it?

I'm no longer going to argue with you on this. Clearly you have your own agenda. Probably to drive traffic to your pay per click ads on your blog.

Good luck with it.

P.S. Thanks for comments re: SexVR.

I don't think so, I think there were a couple of people who had big budgets for this domain and it was going to $10K+ anyway, regardless of this forum.

I make my money buying and selling domains, and have been a successful app developer; so my goal is to give new domain investors domaining and development tips.

I'm a pay-it-forward kind of person, and I'm just giving people some help if they will listen. I also listen too, and I take your concerns to heart.

AdSense earns me enough to buy 1 dinner for 4 at Outback once every year. AdSense is terrible. I stopped chasing AdSense long ago but AdSense should be on every page for SEO reasons. After all... why would Google rank your content if their ads aren't showing. AdSesne is more of a signal to Google at you are their friend, and they should rank you.

Eventually I would like to do affiliate offers, but blog isn't fully launched yet and is in early Alpha dev, and there are no affiliate links to the auctions or drop catchers, or else I would have a notice as required.

I'm a dad, developer, and insomniac... it's not easy to juggle but I am doing my best.

Good luck with everything.

Okay that post was incredibly off topic but I'm not the off topic police.

Good luck with it all.

Researchers testing the limits of virtual reality for the real-world
"The gaming potential for VR is huge, but there are other tasks that could be used to help educate and inform the public. One task is using VR so we can experience what it's like to be a refugee living in an active conflict zone, which would help improve human empathy. Another topic of focus is geared towards training and simulations that can be utilized prior to real-world work experience."
http://www.tweaktown.com/news/46019/researchers-testing-limits-virtual-reality-real-world/index.html

In honor of that article (plus my need for more brandable domains) inspired me to get:

simulVR.com

I was looking for "simulAR" too awhile back before realizing that's a dictionary word, simulVR is risky but not bad imo ...

There's nothing wrong with the signature. Affiliate links, etc. are permitted. So are websites, auctions, and even lists of expiring names that anyone can catch or buy. @DomainVP has never listed a domain here and stated, 'see sig to buy this domain', which would allude to sales in a discussion thread and be against the rules.

Please get back on topic of showcasing and discussing VR names. Not discussing what one person does for monetary gain if it does not break the rules. You may not agree with it, but it's not wrong.

Edit: If it does break the rules, or believe that it may, please report it instead of carrying on a conversation about it.

Thanks
@DomainVP @HoloShopDotCo

I love discussion here.
I love the various VR domains one owns, or one is looking at, or is at auction.
Yes, this is discussion.
Oh, and not the place to post domains for sale.

picked up

vrhorsetrack
vrracetracks
vrshuffle
vrstud

all dotcom, don't usually like to reg domains with 2 of the same letters between keywords like vrracetracks, but this was an exception. I also swooped a vr domain that will be in my account in 2 days that I am excited about...suspense until its in my account ;)

I was thinking how cool brain training games would be in Vr ...a word of caution there are a lot of trademarked players in this game.

As for the guy who revealed SEXVR.com, next time when you see such domain... keep it secret and looking for a trusted person whom you know has the power to acquire a name you have no money for and he is willing to share something with you if when sold.

Sometimes you have to think smart, you don't need money to make money from experience. If I had seen that name, trust me, this is what I would have done and no way I am gonna reveal it to the world which helped shoot the price to that amount. If you had kept it secret, I doubt it could have even gone beyond $2500.

These further prove that there are LOTS of silent readers who come on here to read stuffs.
