Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

VR-Smart.com is a nice name in this niche, the word "Smart" will always sell in any niche these days, especially tech niches. I notice in the appraisals section you mentioned "Smart = SmartPhones".The word Smart in regards to smartphones is very old and hardly used these days, but the word "Smart" in other technologies is getting bigger and bigger. Even with the hyphen, its a lot better than a lot of names on the thread. The hyphen does hurt the name obviously, but not as badly as a hyphen hurts most names.

Some smart sales below

smarttrade.com 72,000 USD
smartphoto.com 16,800 USD
smartfleet.co.uk 17,280 USD
yousmart.com 20,000 USD
smartinsurance.com 26,325 USD
smartcamera.com 29,200 USD
smartgrid.com 33,500 USD
smartship.com 37,000 USD
smartstop.com 59,000 USD

@nimtree

SmartVR.com also sold for 7,000 USD

Thanks @gilescoley

From Namebio.com, I have picked up following prices:

I was curious about the prices of VR(-) hyphen type domains as my domain has hyphen, Namebio came up with following sales.

vr-games.net 3,000 USD 2016-05-19 Sedo
vr-city.com 4,500 USD 2016-04-13 Uniregistry
vr-vegas.com 605 USD 2008-06-03 GoDaddy
vrsmartphone.com 1800 USD, 2016-03-02 on SEDO.

I came across this one from the drop list and kept thinking for more than 12 hrs.

I made my mind but I thought nobody would leave a domain like that and it may have been already registered during the 12 hr "overthinking" period of mine :)

Luckily it was still available..probably other domainers / people looking at drops were put off by the hyphen..but for me, it was a risk worth taking.

I was looking to buy the plural "vr-smarts.com" but its already an established website selling VR gear..
Maybe I should get in touch with the Chinese owner of that website but my Chinese isn't great :(

VR-RACING.COM
VR-RIDE.COM

Is it worthy???

I found a company I am connected to is using C1VR.com as their company address. not a chinese company.

stands for
Condition
One
Virtual
Reality

I like how they chose 1 instead of One.
probably because the domain was still available for handreg.

seems like when there is slim pickins startups will come up with creative solutions for their brand domain address.

does this give people ideas?

kinda seems like part of the whole convergence of VR domains with LNLL.com and LLNL.com with VR in it facination by the Chinese market.

Seems like western VR companies are finding such domains appealing since they are "out there" for the taking. LLLL.com's fetch a high price.

when all such LNLL.com and LLNL.com perhaps we'll see actual sales with such combos.

It does look promising though to see such a company use such combos.

The company name sounds cool too.
You cant sell a domain to such a company/startup. It is an ocean and there will always be some "acceptable domain names" like c1vr.com

VR-RACING.COM
VR-RIDE.COM

Is it worthy???

I like both but VR-RACING.COM sounds better to me, like VR Racing games (Bikes/ Cars racing games etc)
VR-RIDE is shorter and maybe useful in some nice.

If money is no constraint, I would hold on to them (even for longer period) for the right end user.

My last handreg: GodOfVR.com
I know, lot of people are constantly inquiring the Enduser but was anybody answered ?

Got CityOfVR and KeyToVR. Similar to your name but I think they might have some value in a year or two - but like all my names its a gamble.

Liked GodOfVR tho :)

there is already some documented dash sales. plus probably some non documented ones.
nothing wrong with having some quality keyword dash vr-kw.com

Live 360 VR Press Conferences Are the Future: Is Your Business Ready?

Typically, press conferences are events that we get snippets of information from, filtered by the journalists who are in the room and viewed from a single vantage point. But 360 VR press conferences are set to revolutionize how businesses communicate with their customers by putting everyone in the heart of the action.

At the 2016 Olympic Games taking place in Rio de Janeiro, there have been many record-breaking achievements on the track, in the pool and across the numerous Olympic venues, but there has also been a world’s first away from the sporting action. At British House, the U.K.’s official residence at Rio 2016, Olympic gold medal-winning rower Helen Glover took part in the first live 360 VR press conference, allowing fans to feel like they were in the room with her while she answered questions.

Glover had just won gold in the coxless pair event with partner Helen Stanning and, thanks to the emergence of camera and virtual reality technology, she was able to connect directly with fans around the world.

I forgot this one, I noticed that the New York Times had registered NYTVR.com last year, though I just checked it and it didn't resolve for me.

And earlier this week they were advertising/promoting "The Fight For Falluja", a new virtual reality film from the New York Times Magazine" using nytimes.com/vr (which redirects to nytimes.com/marketing/nytvr/) along with a NYT VR app.
