Kind of makes you want to create a useful .mobi site...like "pronto". My guess is there will be some serial entrepreneurs jumping in the fray soon. The numbers are too hard to ignore anymore.
I'm not sure how old most of you are but if you can remember back to 1995-96, this article off of MSNBC.com is somewhat of a flashback. Back then they were talking about the number of PCs getting in the homes of consumers. The numbers were in the hundreds of thousands worldwide... Folks, with the handheld internet it's in the Billions, and growing.
If the folks at dot mobi position themselves right (and I think they have)... These domains will get bought up quicker than any domain in history. Premium names will only do here, so don't get any ideas about making millions off of 2nd tier .mobi names. For those who missed .com could actually have a chance to do it right this time around.
