is a .US something worth at all?
when you have a word(2words) targetted to the us market, would it be worth something?
Or what are the factors for the value?

.us domains sell, I can tell you that as one who has been on boths ends of a deal. They're certainly worth it when you land the right names. Right now, the big money in the .us market is in the good single word names; so, if you're looking for higher end sales, they're not quite there - yet. That's not to say that solid 2 word domains won't make your investment well worth it.

As far as what factors - well, those would be the same factors of any extension. Good keywords and keyword combos but they're just targeted an the US market.

I agree with swampfox. US can have value, but it takes a really good word, and the .us should be a comfortable fit. For instance, ceiling.us is okay, but no one is going to be really excited about it. However, football.us <--- awesome. In fact, it just sold for $18,510.

Dot US is coming on strong,The net is begining to evolve and re-structure somewhat....Top niche singular names are the head turners right now,The LLL's are going crazy with sales,That is a great sign of what yet is to come for the cctld imo.

Talking about targeted - an Italian version of lawn bowling (five letters, sorry, but I cannot find it again) just sold for $550 on Sedo with an US extension.

A word I have never heard of, meaning an obscure Italian sport. Dot US. $550.

Like other folks have said, it's the prime single word .US domains that are turning heads at this point in time. Not sure when 2-worders will do the same, but something like creditcards.us or onlinecasinos.us might be one of the first 2 word .US domains to sell for over $10K. Could be just a matter of months, the way things are going!

I wish I had the money for this bocce.us name. It's actually become very popular where I vacation at our little place at the beach. I can say with confidence that every single day I went down on the beach, there was at least one group of people playing bocce ball. I also saw it a lot in the stores there; it seems to be somewhat of a phenomenon at the beach right now. It may just be a passing summer trend, but I think it will be around because it still seems to be growing.

Yes - it was bocce.us .

Football.us for 18.5K --- forget LLL.coms, .us may be the place to be! Football is the name for soccer in many countries so how about Baseball.us - long term I would not be surprised to find that .us worth more than the .com.
