.tv .TV Domain Names - Do they still have value?

Hi All. I own a .TV domain name that is 8 years old. I have had it appraised at $15,000 but obviously a value is only based on what someone will pay. Are good .TV names still worth anything or is it just .coms now? Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks

maybe you should visit the .tv section ( where all the .tv ppl are ) to see the worth of .tv names

...yeah, I have a lot of fun with that appraisal program myself. My highest .tv there is GR8.tv which tips the scales at $18,467.

Not in a hurry to sell but if offered that price I would probably be too weak to resist the temptation.

On the other hand, Candid.tv, which I consider an easy 5 figure draw, on estimates at $4700, not worth my time to consider...

just regged a .com and set up a fan site and the appraisal for it is a tad over 20 grand! Did not think it is worth that much but I did not take the name to sell, as I wanted something to do for a hobby.

Moral of the story is use the appraisal for entertainment but get the real price from the enduser or buyer...
