I know that geo domains are incresing in popularity and iv noticed a few of these types flying around like : thecityoflosangeles.com etc, also ones that end in "by night" like tokyobynight.com.

Are these worth anything now or possibly in the near future as the geo domain market rises or are they just garbage???

to be honest they are not worth much if any at all unless developed. You have to look at the domain name and consider if its a worthwhile investment. When i first began domaining i bought a collection of domain names which were garbage and to this day i regret it. If i was more picky about my selection of decent domain names then I would have saved a lot of money.

Look around namepros for awhile. You will leanr what domains people are looking for and insitincvely you will know if the domain you are looking at it a good buy or not.
