Acronyms and other meaning aditional help

hi folks,

after spending the last few weeks reading about domains and stuff about the place, ive noticed certain acronyms used. ive read up on these in the acronyms page in here, but what id like to know is.. for example, iv read ppl talking about cvcv domains and LLL etc etc. and i know what they mean, but, why is it that certain combinations of these seem more important ? or is it just the way im viewing things ?

could i be linked to somewhere that details the importance (if any) of these combinations ?
